We just got approved for the removal of the conditions. Approval was made on 04/19/2011 and the "permanent" green card (and the card is indeed green!) was received on 04/22/2011. Thank you for updating our profile.

We just got the three magic words "Card production ordered" today! Before taking a hiatus from VJers for about 20 months, my husband and I would like to echo envy-me's every words. It is so true that it is less about the destination as it is about the journey and the people who have crossed our paths along the way. So a special thanks to all of you, envy-me, and VJ support team. We look forward to seeing you again when it will be time for us remove the conditions of our resident status. And to VJers who haven’t received the AOS decision, our best wishes. We are not forgetting you. We might even sneak from time to time to see how you are doing.

That is correct, only people with green-card or are citizens of the USA get ones without that notation. It is there to tell employers to request EAD to allow work.Yes - but once the non-USC has his/her EAD than they can get a new SS card issued.

, the notation gets removed by showing a green-card, not EAD. The notation is saying that the SSN card is valid only with an EAD card.My fiance received a stamp on his I-94 stating "employment authorized" when he entered the country two weeks ago(POE: JFK). He just applied for his Social Security Card. Will the Social Security Card have the same notation? Can he accept work based on the I-94 mention? We appreciate any information you can share on this topic.

My fiancé is going through the same visa process with the U.S. consular post in Tunis as some of you do and in anticipation of receiving packet 3, we are looking for clarification on a couple of steps for Tunisian VJs.
- Does the U.S. consulate in Tunis require translation of Birth Certificate, Police Certificate, Medical Records, etc.? The documents are all in French. I saw the list of sworn translators on the Embassy Web site... If such translation is needed, would you have a recommendation to make as well as any idea of the fee range?
For the medical exam, what are the Embassy’s instructions for scheduling the lab work and X-rays prior to the physician’s visit? Any idea of the timeframe needed to get the results back? Also are the vaccinations listed on the "Fiche Medicale Scolaire" sufficient (I am assuming that all Tunisian students get the same type of immunizations when in school)?
Any lights you can shed on these two topics for VJs from Tunisia are much appreciated.

Hi all,
I noticed that the validity on my NOA2 is about to run out. It expires in a couple of weeks. What has to be completed before this date? Interview or forms submitted? Is there any way to extend it? I noticed in the sample forms section a "Request to Extend Approval of I-129F." I'm assuming I need to send this letter to my fiancé and have him take it to the consulate or should I fax it directly to the embassy? It will take a month to get there by postal mail. Is it OK if it's not an original? It will be notarized. Any tips are much appreciated!

Hi Kay,
Has your fiancé returned some of the forms that were included in "packet 3" to the U.S. Embassy / Consulate in Tunis? My understanding is that at this stage of the process, your fiancé should be sending them back signed DS-230 Part 1 and DS-2001 where he states that he has in his possession and is prepared to present all the documents required for the interview. It's only after accomplishing this step (mailing them back those two forms), that your fiancé will get "packet 4" which should include the appointment letter for the interview, specific instructions for scheduling the medical exam, and payment requirement for visa processing.
The reason why I am asking is that I don't see in your signature or timeline when your fiance sent the forms back to the U.S. Embassy (typically labeled "packet 3 sent")...

Hi Zipper,
Do you have a soft copy of forms DS-2100 and 41.81 EXHIBIT IV SUPPLEMENT TO FORM OF-156? I can't find the most current version online on any official government websites.
Also are you sure that form DS-230 has a Part III? I found Part I and II but not Part III.
If you have these forms in soft (electronic) format, would it be possible for you to attach them to your next reply?
