  1. On July 6th 2009, my wife and I had our AOS appointment and all went well except my wife was missing 3 vaccination shots that we were unaware of that she needed. The Immigration Officer said all was well and we had passed our interview and all we needed was the 3 vaccinations and issued us a RFE to complete Vacinnations within 30 days. This was done at our local health department on July 7th and sent certified same day.

My question is since my Wife had her Civil Surgeon exam less than a year ago, will the copies from the health department that I sent be OK for the RFE or will they ask us to again have to go through a civil surgeon for a full exam again and complete another I-693.

Thanks for you input or experience.

  2. Nita,

The Consular officer violated interview rules established by the State Department in denying the interview in his native language  My Fiance just had her interview in Tashkent and the Consular Officer asked her if she wished her interview in English and she said no. I want an interperter which was provided. She was also asked the question about how we communicated if her English was not good. Her answer was that her future beloved husband has much patients and speaks slowly to help me understand not only sentences but words

    Was your Fiance denied visa?

    Good luck,

    robertjay

  3. Hello everyone :star:

This is an update of mine and Oksana's journey  She received her Visa 25th of September and she is arriving home at 4:00 the 15th of October :dance::dance:

As for plane tickets cost, it all depends where you are coming from and Port of Entry. I found out that first checking her countries flights and routes to America and then looking at connecting domestic flights to our home was the best way to go, because domestic flights are much cheaper than international flights

Oksana is flying from Tashkent Uzbekistan to Seoul Inchon South Korea and then on to Seattle (my home state) She will then connect with Alaskan Airlines to Eastern Washington. Flight miles 8,412 . Best thing to do is check all flights to US major airports and then check domestic connecting flights to your nearest airport. You will save a little money

    Good Luck to all,

    robertjay

  4. I wish to offer my congratulations to all April 08 filers with approved NOA2's

For those who have not received approval, I say hang in there no matter what.

This process can be an emotional rollercoaster :unsure::blush::wacko::angry::crying::dance:

I see that some are starting to receive Visa's after the very long journey and wait

My Fiance recieved her Visa on the 25th of October after a 5 hour wait in line at the American Embassy in Tashkent Uzbekistan. She was very tired but is most happy that it is over  She will now take the next two weeks saying goodbye to her friends and beloved family before coming to her new adopted country

    Best wishes to all,

    robertjay

  5. pam_ onzo,

Do not panic over the RFE  , They will send and ask what is needed. Maybe phone records or more letters between you two. The good thing is they are reviewing your file and only wish more information. When you find out what they need make sure you send it with your WAC number registered mail ASAP and you should hear something from them in return very soon after they receive

    Good luck & regards,

    robertjay

  6. Congratulations Beta and the best of luck on your interview :dance::dance::dance::dance:

My beautiful Oksana has her Interview on 25th of September and I know she will do very well

When she receives her visa, she will arrive home around the 10th of October (L)

We should see many more NAO2 approvals and I wish everyone the best of luck in this journey :D

For those who have been approved, the time goes quickly from Embassy to interview and we should see many in the next 2 months

    Warmest Regards,

    robertjay

  7. Yes, there is a fee at all American Embassies for K-1 and must be paid when he/she goes in for interview. The fee amount is $131.00. If you go to Embassy web site you are dealing with and look under the non immigrant visa in the Consular section they will show you a list of all required documents plus fee.

  8. Hello April filers !!!

Very happy to see so many approvals since I started this thread & congratulations to all

For those not approved yet, hang in there your time is coming with out a doubt

Our documents left NVC this week and is on its way to the Tashkent Consulate and I hope that my beloved Oksana will receive her packet in the mail in the next 2 weeks. We are already prepared with her needed paperwork and my I-134 and all documentation is ready for her interview & medical

If all goes well and I am confident it will. We should be together by mid October :wow::dance:

Always know in your heart & soul, that true love is worth waiting for and your time apart, you have a lifetime to make it up :star:

Keep the faith and good luck,

  9. My file is leaving for Tashkent next week per the NVC. so my Fiance will have her interview in about a month

If you are beginning the process then you must think ahead of what your needs will be. Because I call her once or twice a week, I decided to sign up for Vonage and have printable records from February 2007 to present and each billing cycle shows all my international call to my fiance home phone and cell phone and how long we talked each time  If you have been writing e-mails then select a few from each month both yours and hers. She has all copies of money transfers I have sent her and also the receipt for the ring I purchased when I visited last year. For photos, I went to Tashkent with a Kodak digital camera that holds a thousand photos and also a docking station to print up for her over 200 photos while I was there. When I returned home, I placed all photos on CD, so that I can makes copies anytime I need them

If you are going to be a boyscout/girlscout in this endeavor then it is best to be prepared :star:

    Good luck

    Grats Robertjay!

I have been calling my roommate in America, but still no approval. I think out of our thread, I may be the last one without a touch or an NOA2 :crying:

I am really happy for everyone, and seeing all the "approved!" threads, I know ours is just around the corner, but this last stretch is SO HARD!!!

    Heather

Heather, this is the hardest part, the waiting game  Your time will soon happen and when it does, it will come unexpectedly and you will shout and dance for joy  My NOA2 was approved on the 7th of August and I did not know it till arrival in the mail on the 16th of August  I had signed up for the E mail notification and received nothing  I have gotten past my anger with CSC and am only thankful for the approval so that Oksana is a day closer to coming home  I think most April filers will all be happy before the end of the month of August

    Good luck & best wishes,

    robertjay

  12. Recieved our approval in the mail today :dance::dance::dance:

Do not rely on there E mail notification  My file had only shown that it was touched on 08/07/08, no E mail of approval  So if you show a touch, start checking your regular mail about 3 days later for notification don't rely on them contacting you by E mail

Good luck to all and best wishes in your journey

  14. We have not received approval yet, but my file was TOUCHED for the first time August 7th :dance::dance:

Maybe this is a good omen :wow: I have not yet told Oksana the wonderful news and will only tell her when we have received approval. She would not understand the touch process anyway  But she will understand approval

The best wishes and Congrats for those approved and those who about to :star:

  15. Have never used Skype, but if you do a search here you will find people who do. I have heard good things about it.

I have been using Vontage for my long distance for over two years. I have 5 grown children and only one lives here in my city. So I am able to talk to the others as long as I want for $24.99 a month.

For calls to Uzbekistan the rate is .12 a minute and I get copies of all my phone records and pay my bill on line.

    Regards,

    robertjay
