  1. Hi,

Everything has gone pretty smoothly since I sent back my RFE. I got the approval notice on October 10th, its just I am still waiting for my greencard. I was hoping people who have recently got their GC might be able to tell me approximately how long it all took, and if I seem to be in the normal timeframe? I am not too worried as I have EAD and AP, but would like it before we go back home to Europe for Christmas!

Thanks, and Good luck to everybody,

    Lily

  2. My husband is from Egypt had his medical in February and we were sent a letter that his medical was not in his immigration file. We sent the copy of the DS to the consulate but they are stating that he has no medical record, the old one will not suffice and he has to have the complete medical done. This seems to be a trend.

Yes this is what a few people have said. Its difficult, obviously financially I would prefer to do the Texas Dr $20 thing, but I do not want to delay my papaerwork more!

ANyway, thanks for your input, and your baby is scrumptious!

  3. see this is what is confusing me, as that is what i initially thought. but posts here seem to say that is only if they request the I693A. With me they asked for the I693, i.e. the full examination, not just the vaccinations.

I am really not sure what to do, whether to pay for the whole thing or just send it off to Texas, people seem to think differently, and the lady we spoke to was no help!

  4. Hi,

I am really sorry for posting three times, but i wanted to write exactlt what my RFE says. Re-reading it, I am wondering if i need to just send in the chest x-ray, and wanted to know if the POE officer shoudl have taken it or not?

    My RFE says

    "I693" MEDICAL EXAM

Please submit a properly completed nad singed form I693, Medical exam etc.

Current regulations now require that the TB skin test be completed by all applicants 2 yrs or older. A Chest x ray is required only when the reaction to the skin test is 5mm or more. Or you may provide other evidence to establish that you have had follow up treatment for TB and that the condition no longer exists. A reciew of the record indicates you entered on a valid K1, however THE RECORD CANNOT BE FOUND IN YOUR APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR AOS PACKAGE. Therefore, you are requested to submit the aforementioned I693 Medical exam of aliens seeking AOS, completed by a USCIS approved physician.

I am utterly confused as I have never ever had TB, and I have even had the vaccine.

What exactly is this asking for? Is it the whole medical or just the chest x-ray? Has anyone had an RFE like this before?

    Thanks for your help

  5. Hi,

Excuse me for posting twice in an hour.

However I have a question. As my earlier post said, I have been given an RFE for a lost medical, but does this mean I also need to get a new vaccination supplement done at the doctors? I didn't think it did as I sent in my vaccination form, the DS form, and I have had them all and it says so on the form, but do they just automatically require a new one?

    Thanks

  6. Hi Karin,

I thought it was for that, and so I was not too worried, then I came on here this mornign and freaked out lol! It says

    "MEDICAL EXAMINATION (FORM I-693)

"Please submit a properly completed and signed for I-693, Medical Exam of ALiens seeking AOS"

SO unfortuantely I am fairly certain its for this not the I693A. It is so annoying as I have already spent alot in London to get this done, and it seems to be arbitrarily lost. But I guess now all I can do is fix it!

    Thanks

    Lily

  7. Hi All fellow June filers,

Congratulations to everyone who heard of progress on their case, and to everyone else, I am sure its about to come good for you too!

I got a CRIS approval notice today, saying they have ordered production of my EAD card on August 18th, so at least something has happened, although I have a wedding in London in early September, so still really got fingers crossed for my AP lol!

    Good luck to everyone,

    Lily

  8. Hi,

I just wanted to join up with all you June filers. We filed in June, as my timeline shows. I am not sure exactly how to add my stats to the thread, but am more than happy to, if someone tells me how to!

Also, people seem to be talking about getting transferred to California. Is this particularly good? I had my bio appts on July 14th, and the transfer notice I got this week, said I was transferred to California on the next day, July 15th. Anyway, I hope this helps some, and good luck to all of you other June filers!

  9. Hi,

I have a few questions about the I 131, advance parole document.

In part 3 it says " if you are applying for advance parole, skip to part 7". I think this is what I need to do, but wanted to check, before I left out alot of the form.

Also in part 7 it tells you to explain your circumstances, and how I qualify and provide evidence on a separate sheet of paper. What kind of evidence do I need, how do I qualify (simply because I am a K1 status) and does everyone need to write this letter?

    Thanks alot

    Lily
