Flight should be 2 days before medical just in case. And after interview is approved it can take up to 7 business days for the visa. Hope that helps.

Thank you so much this information has set me at ease 🤗

I think if you get there the day before your medical appointment, it’s plenty. Because the doctor will give you about 3 days before the interview since they need time to process tests etc. That also gives you time to pay the fee at scotia bank. And they say it can be up to 5 business days after the interview before you get the visa.

Thank you so about a 7-10 day trip just to be safe

  3. My question is for booking flights being that Cuban beneficiaries do petitioners have to travel to another embassy.  How far in advance would you say is needed to be in Guyana and how many days after the interview does one need to stay in Guyana I’m just wanting this information in planning ahead when interview appointment is set.

He’ll do the medical in Guyana too. There are 2 doctors who can do it—once your case gets to the embassy they’ll email you and you’ll schedule an appointment with them for the interview. Once you have the interview date you’ll call or email one of the physicians on the list and tell them your interview date. They’ll give you a date within 5 or so days before the interview so you have enough time to do the exam and get your results to take with you to the embassy.

Thank you so much for this information my final question is for booking flights how far in advance would you say is needed to be in Guyana and how many days after the interview does one need to stay in Guyana I’m just wanting this information in planning ahead.
