I want to start by thanking everyone for their response to my original "drivers license" topic post....
I failed to mention in my previous topic that I live in the state of Texas (near Austin) and after contacting a local dDMV they told my wife and I that she would need an I-94 issued for over a year.
Her I-94 is currently expired. Is there something we can do in order to some how get an I-94 extension???
Has anyone else in that state of Texas had this problem? and if so what where you able to do to help your situation?
thanks!

My wife and I went through the K-1 visa process and mailed our completed (AOS) packet to the USCIS office last week. Today we attempted to sign her up to take a drivers permit test but an employee at the drivers license office rejected our application after he looked through my wife's passport. He said we needed a resident card or a different visa in order to apply or something like that.....
We REALLY don't want to wait for the (AOS) to be completed before applying for a drivers permit. Is there something we can do right now in order for her to be eligible?

My wife and I just returned from the immigration office in San Antonio and we were given all the I-485 packet forms along with a COVER PAGE listing every required form. On the list is the I-129f petition for Alien Fiance. The immigration officer made it seem like we only need to include the (I-797, Notice of Action) form to meet this requirement but I want to be 100% positive that this is true.
My question is, do we also include a copy of the I-129f form that we filled out during the K-1 visa process as well?
You only need to submit the copy of the I-797, Notice of Action or the approval notice of the K1 Visa application with the rest of package and you are good to go. Good luck with your AOS journey!
Thanks!

I was able to get my I-134 form notarized but according to direction #4 on the "What to send to your fiancee once the I-129F is approved" http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;page=k1guide , I need to also have the "required supporting evidence."
Can I just send a copy of my tax forms for this "required supporting evidence"?
or are they referring to the material described in direction #5?

Earlier today, I visited my local bank in hopes of having a notary sign my I-134 form. However, the notary was suspicious of the "Signature of Officer Administering Oath" statement and refused to sign without first crossing out that particular statement. He recommended that i instead travel to a USCIS field office to have it signed by an officer. Unfortunately, I don't have the luxury of traveling to a USCIS office this week.
I did a little research in the visa journey forums and it according to several VJ members, bank notaries are legally allowed to sign this section of the I-134 form. Could it be that he is legally allowed to sign this line and not know it? Should I search out other banks for a public notary that knows what he/she is doing or am I forced to go to a USCIS office?

Question 7 in which it states:
"I have other personal property, the reasonable value which is:" - It is kind of a broad statement. Do i consider everything I own and make an approximation of the total value? I assume it is much more exclusive than that but I have no idea to what extent.

cool, thanks for clearing that up everyone.

Our 129F petition was recently approved and I just received the notice in the mail. I didn't work (enough) the last 4 years therefore I am using my father as a co-sponsor, however I am really confused on what forms, how many to fill out, when to send them....
Do I only fill out an I-134 right now and send it to my fiance?
Do I only fill out an I-864 and send it to my fiance? Do I fill out two I-864's (one in my name and one in my dads)?
Do I fill out both I-134 and I-864 forms?
Do I fill out 1 now and the other later?
lol, obviously I'm lost.
I appreciate any advice.

My name is Ryan and I am an American citizen. I am currently applying for a K-1 visa so I can marry a woman named Kets who is from Thailand. Our 129F form was recently approved, however, I am in a tight spot right now. I recently graduated from Michigan State University and accepted a job in Austin, Texas. I am obligated to move down there in about 3 weeks but only if it doesnt affect the visa status.
I have listed below a few questions concerning the visa process:
Interview
How long after receiving the approval of the 129F petition should expect to be interviewed? Do I bring my sponsor? What should I expect at the Interview?
Income
Because I attended school full time I wasn't able to hold down a full time job. Is it possible for me to use my father, who makes good money, as a sponsor even though I will be moving out of his house in a couple of weeks?
Relocation
How is moving to Texas going to affect the process? Should I inform someone about the relocation, and if so, how would I go about sending that information?
Any helpful information is appreciated
AOS notification
in Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from K1 and K3 Family Based Visas

My wife and I sent in our AOS packet 25 days ago and we still have not recieved a notification that they recieved/ began processing the forms. I know that the money orders were cashed. I had the bank trace the activity of the money orders and saw that they were cashed about a week after they were mailed in.
Is it time to worry yet?
