My husband went today and they took his fingerprints. They said Mubarak ho to him and he will get his passport back in one week with his VISA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAHOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is coming soon.

Ok My husband had his interview on September 27, 2007. They told him to send more documents and they placed him on AP and case pending. They did not deny him but they did not say to him that Welcome to USA either. He sent the documents they requested and two days ago they sent him a letter saying to come to the embassy Monday between 8am - 10am to get do fingerprints and to bring with passport. So what does that mean? What should I expect?

they will do security checks on him , it will take a while i am also in ap from long time , i hope it will finish for your guys soon and islamabad embassy is slow , we got clearence from Dos and my case is pending in embassy for more then 2 months now , so be patience inshallah Allah will help you

As posted earlier a few weeks ago, my wife initially received her interview for I-130 for April 8th 2008, followed by a K3 interview for an earlier date for Jan 8th 2008. When i contacted the embassy via email they stated that the I-130 will be done the same day when the K3 interview happens. While we were anxiously waiting for that date, we received another updated interview letter now for Dec 3rd 2007.

While it is good news that the interview is earlier than originally noted, not sure what to expect. Will they still process the I-130 the day of the K3 interview, anyone know that suddenly Islamabad is moving fast?

She's hanging in there... I am going to visit PK in December. Hoping that I get some news from USCIS soon. I thought I would bring her with me in December but now that hope has faded away seeing the timeline of people and the fact that I have not even received NOA2.

Good luck to those waiting and I agree that with FarahAmeerHumza you got a miracle since this is the first expedite that I have seen in my almost three years on VJ coming from Islamabad for a male this quickly. The last expedite I saw was for a K-3 male and he still has not gotten his AOS done in the USA for over one year now they are still processing. I think maybe the new amabassdor may have something to do with it since Crocker left we have had some many of the AR/AP'ers that were in long waits finally get their visa's ajudicated.

Thank you guys for all the well wishes. This is all my the grace my malik ALLAH. I prayed on this so much because I did not want my husband to see his child when she was so late in age. Inshallah he will see her now within her first months in this world. Any interview tips would be muchly appreciated and also GOOD LUCK to all. Have faith. Be persitent with the embassy. My case was sent from NVC to Islamabad last week. I emailed the Embassy and they told me that they sent the Packet 3.5 to my husband. My question is how long does it take for him to get it? What is in the Packet 3.5 and how soon after does he get his interview? Please advise. Thanks.

Sorry I haven't been on but I have been so busy. I have updated my timeline. Currently I'm waiting for DS230 and praying that they accept everything we sent for the i-864. I just want it to hurry up and get to Islamabad so that we can get an interview. Also just wondering when he go for interview what exactly will he need. Where do you get Police Certificate in Lahore and how much is it? Do u think its possible for him to be here by end of September guys? Our baby will be born that time inshallah. I'm so stress out. NOIR/NOID means the case is being sent back to the US for Notice of Intent to Revoke or Notice of Intent to Deny. Thrice in the thread above means they were put on AR/AP three times. Hope this helps.

I'll let you guys know of the date I see on the coversheet once I get it, maybe there is a trend they follow just like simple male said.

Did you use shortcut for i-864 coversheet. I'm scared to do it and then I do it wrong and they end up sending it back. Will they accept it? And what is the most current version or way to do it. Please advise. I have sent the IV visa application bill back because I received it but I still havent received the i-864 papers.

My DS3032 has been sent and I'm waiting on my Immigration Visa Application Fee Bill and the I 864. I have called NVC many times and they said the I864 forms has been printed and mail and the Visa Application Fee Bill has already been mailed also. Its been a whole 2 weeks since they mailed and still I havent received it. My papers are set and ready to go. I wanted to know can I send the papers in without receiving the ones they sent me. How do I know that they will accept it if...the lady at NVC told me they will not accept anything without the Barcode sheet so what should I do? Please help. I'm verd sad you cannot imagine. I give birth in the last week of September and our case still is at NVC I need it to be in Islamabad at least by next month so we can hurry up and get an interview. Guys I so upset...Please help me.

I know guys you say dont worry but im constantly worrying because I'm pregnant and due to give birth in September. I praying that my husband is the in the room with me when our daughter is born. I haven't seen him since I left Pakistan in January...its unbearable especially now being pregnant and all.

Thanks for all the info you guys. This site has really been helpful. Sadly I checked today and still no case number assigned. If its taking this long to assign a case number...imagine how long it will take them to generate things.

Here's my question if you know the case number and using James shortcuts: Can you actually send the DS3032 and AOS bill fee before its actually generated. Because I have seen in some cases the Case number is assigned on one day and then 2 to 3 weeks later the DS3032 and AOS bill is generated. So can I actually send this out before they generate it. Is the NVC aware of these shortcuts and do they mind it?

Three questions: If you have you case number: 1)Can you send the email to assign your Choice Agent before the DS3032 is actually generated by NVC? 2)Can you generate and send the IV bill also before its actually generated by NVC? 3)Does NVC mind these shortcuts and self generated processes?
