If you look at my timeline, you will see that from filing to visa in hand, my K1 process took almost 11 months. It made me mad when people said that they got theirs in 3, but that's USCIS for you. They are overworked and understaffed, and as you will find out when you get a job here, it's common practice to have the same person do the job of many (for no extra pay). That certainly applies to many workplaces and USCIS seems to be no different.
I understand your frustration. Distance definitely puts a strain on relationships so when I say "occupy yourself with positive thoughts", it's actually a matter of survival - yours and your relationship's. Do plenty of research, and if you have a career, start trying to connect with people in the US so that the months you will spend waiting for your EAD or GC actually help you find a job when the time comes. Look up free activities in the area where you are planning to live with your future spouse, save as much money as you can now, get busy working extra hours now, because finances might be tight in the beginning.
That might look pointless if you only focus on the "here and now", but the "here and now" is in the hands of the USCIS. In the near future, though, the ball will be back in your court, so it's never too early to start working on that.
Thank you, my case was approved 3 days ago

Of course you do, everyone does. But comparing your timeline to others will do nothing but stress you. The K1 process is bad enough as it is so the best thing you can do is keep busy and occupy your mind with positive thoughts.
Good luck, I hope you get your visa in hand soon.
You’re right. Thank you

Cases that get to interview stage in 4 months are the exception, not the rule. Back in 2018, I had to see many people, Brazilians included, get their NOA2 and interview before me even though they filed after me, but only expedited cases had to wait less than 3 months for their NOA2.
Many factors might affect how long you have to wait, but the ultimate truth is that the K1 is just a small step in the journey. If you are lucky to move to a city whose local office is fast, the tables will turn and you might get your GC faster than people that arrived in the US months before you (that's what happened to me).
But for me, right now, the most important thing is the K1, I don’t care about how long the GC going to take, because I’ll be in the USA with my “future” husband, now, I just want to move and finish that situation about to live so far.

Oi Renata!
-
Does anyone know the criteria that USCIS uses to release processes? There are people who wait 6 months for a NOA2 and there are people who finish everything, even the interview in 4 months, being from the same country and sending documents at the same time.

Alguém sabe o critério que eles usam para liberar os processos? Tem gente que espera 6 meses por um NOA2 e tem gente que termina tudo, até a entrevista em 4 meses, sendo do mesmo país e enviando documentos na mesma época.

No, Im in Canada, my connection was in Canada, they have American Imigration here. They didn’t deport me or cancel my visa, and in the end, Canada immigration gave me permission to spend some days here and my boyfriend came to spend some days with me here too. He got back to the USA yesterday at night and I’m going to Brazil tomorrow.
Yes it was, but in January I spent 20 days in the USA and it was ok, I was with lots of luggages and wen through Miami, I told the same, I told Im in a fiancé visa process and I was moving my things slowly and it was ok, American Costums just said: Renata, I wish you all the best and enjoy your days. In Canada was the problem, maybe because I just spent 6 days in Brazil, but anyway. No worries to your fiancé, she doesn’t need to tell she is in this process, I just told because I was with lots of luggages and I had to explain. She just need to say: I’m going to visit my boyfriend and that’s all, she is not lying. Lemme ask.... does she have the international yellow fever certification? I’m just asking because she needs to travel through Panamá

So you got to the airport in the USA and they made you turn around? How often have you been coming to the USA on a B1/B2 tourist Visa?
Since 2014 I travel to the USA with frequency, but I was there in January and try to fly back in February, I’m sure, that was one of the reasons why they didn’t give me permission.

Every embassy/consulate is different and every case is different when it comes to post-interview application processing. VisaJourney doesn't track it on timelines, and USCIS does not release any stats on it.
Our case spent 12 days in non-immigrant application received in Moscow (this was the only part of the process from petition to 2-year green card that was slower than average at the time for us), and then moved through non-immigrant administrative processing to issued the next day, but that doesn't say anything about yours.
In fact, visa journey has an estimate based on other cases, it is an unofficial website, but from what I read, everyone who followed your visa journey process, received the documents on very similar dates.

Yeah, I guess with that statement, you can travel there, just don't make yourself out to be U-Haul.😀
She said: you can try to come tomorrow and enter, but today, you will not and I think is better if you wait all this process in Brazil.

Please understand everybody, the officers of CBP are, for the most part, great people. However, they are given only seconds or a minute to try and determine your intent. You seem to have an immigrant visa in process...they may think you are tired of waiting....what was in your luggage? If it was filled with birth certificates and other such legal documents, they may have deducted you had no plan to return home....?
At the first moment, she was so agressive, sooooo agressive. She said I had too much clothes, I tried to explain I have so much more in Brazil and I really have. She opened my wallet and saw I have health insurance, bank account and everything in Brazil. But anyway, I have to flight back to Brazil and wait.

I did visit after being turned around, but it wasn't a risk for me as I lived on the border. All I would have been out if turned around would be time and a few bucks in gas.
Where did u live?

It has happened before and will have no impact on the K1.
Thank you for answer, but tell me, did visit your boyfriend after that? Or you waited the k1 in your country?

Learn one thing about immigration, they will usually sweet talk you after refusal (and minimize the impact of them denying you entry on future immigration applications) so that you don’t get too upset and possibly belligerent.
For all intents and purposes the current visitor visa is dead regardless of its surface validity. I assume, pray, and hope your K1 goes through however if for whatsoever reason it does not, my strong advice to you is to apply for a new visitor visa before attempting to enter the USA again. I can say with a high degree of confidence that trying to use this current visa will lead to a refusal of entry at port end subsequent expedited removal. Don’t do it.
Thank you for answer. I’ll not to try to visit the USA again, I’m going to wait my K1 visa, at first she was so aggressive like soooooo agressive, I don’t want to be on that situation again, it was terrible. I’m going to wait and everything will be fine.

The B didn’t gone, She said is not a punishment, in the form they didn’t canceled my visa. She just said RIGHT NOW, I can’t enter.
Thank you for answer, it was weird, because I visit my boyfriend before with no problem and I was in the process k1, the costums said I can visit him during the process, but the problem was my luggages, because I had too much things and I could enter and stay, they didn’t cancel my visa because I was in Canada yet and I have a good historic, like, I always traveled to the USA, 2,3 times a year, but this time they said is better stay in Brazil. She said isn’t a punishment they just decided this time I’ll not to enter

u were trying to apply for a B2 visa and they didn't issue you a tourist visa, correct? Or were you turned away at point of entry?
I have b1/b2 visa the only problem was I was travel to the USA with frequency and this time I was with lots of luggages so they thought I wanted to move this time, o tried to explain, but they said is better if I wait to finish my process in Brazil.

Good day all.....as we prepare to do our K1 petition my fiancée (US citizen) think it's not important to mention the date we met because of concern that it might raise a red flag since we met in august and got engaged in November the month in which she paid me a surprise visit (almost died😵) so I'm asking this is mentioning the length of time we together important....advice on how to proceed will be greatly appreciated....thanks much
I think you don’t have reasons to lie or don’t mention about date, because probably they going to ask during interview and, for me, time means nothing, I knew people who got married in 15 days and they are together since 2000. I spent 3 months on a date with my boyfriend online, we met first in June and started the process in November, we put everything. Just believe in your relationship and love and everything will be fine. K1 visa isn’t a permanent visa, during the process you can do everything, including give up. That’s the reason why is simple and “fast”.
Good luck
