I also paper filled mine and sent it to chicago. But i also got an ioe which is usually an electronic receipt. I found it weird. But it seems to make things smoother. My documents were all sent to my local uscis field office from the national benefits center where they process all n400 applications like super right away within a day. So that makes it cooler. Anyway i filled last sept. Became a citizen yesterday. Hehehe. Also california (but i expedited mine).
Congrats on your citizenship.. yay!!
How did you expedite your application (i didnt know that was an option)

Filled paper N-400 in April, receipt number starts with IOE.
No movement on USCIS website after that.
I know things are a bit slower now but how long before I hear anything? I am in California FWIW.

Filed N-400 and sent everything in mail 2 weeks back. Received a receipt number that starts with IOE. I did some looking around and IOE is basically for online filers.
Why did I get IOE assigned to my case? Anybody had similar experience? Does this slow down my application process in any way?
Thanks for your replies.

So I had a Green Card through my spouse for first 2 years and then we have filed now for removal of conditions.
It has been over a year now and we now have an extension letter for 18 months till USCIS is working on it's backlog.
My question was does this time count towards my road to citizenship? Meaning that can I apply for citizenship after 3 years are completed regardless of the permanent green card?

Does anyone know if San Francisco center does same day Oath after passing the Naturalization interview?
I have my interview next week and hearing different answers. Just want to be prepared so that my spouse can accompany me for the oath ceremony.
Thanks.
