Did he come on a tourist visa or immigrant visa ?

I had the same problem.. try using another browser like google chrome, or mozilla firefox... if you have a lawyer or paralegal helping you to fill it out, it may be they are filling it out at the same time as you.

She did go ahead and questioned us both regarding our relationship and said that based on her finding our relationship is genuine. But my question is what happens next?
