Ok, thanks for the information. I’m looking forward to the issuance of visa very soon. My spouse medical expires in the second week of April
Following your time line it looks like my spouse visa will be issued just a day or two before her medical expires inshallah or even before 🤞🏻
Insha Allah, my prayers are with all of you guys waiting to reunited with your spouse.

My interview date was 10-17-2019 and I didn’t receive any updates since November.
I reached Out to the senator last week with my request and have not heard back yet, how long do they take to inquire and respond?
In my case after senator's inquiry, it took a few days, probably a week! Case was updated twice because of inquiry, then a week and a half after case again updated this time without any inquiry.
Then three weeks later again case was updated twice and in third update the visa was issued.

No inquiry it updated February 12 also with no inquiry.
Interview was 10/23/2018.
My interview was 10/18/2019, and after case was updated without an inquiry the visa was issued in just about 25 days.
It seems like if your case is updated without an inquiry you might have a chance to get visa ISSUED soon!😊

Ok, that makes sense. I’ll surely do that if I don’t hear back in a few days... So after booking the appointment, sign and just give all the details to the senator and they’ll work with the embassy to inquire about my case?
Yes, they will do.

Thanks, You can call and set up an appointment or u can walk into the office also.
First you will have to sign "privacy release form" then discuss with the Senator ...that way senator will be authorized by u to discuss your case with embassy.
I'm the petitioner, I came back to USA after I attended the interview, one month later.

Wow, great news. Congratulations and my interview was on the same date, needed additional document that was uploaded on CEAC. Had one update in November, sent total 4 inquiries and didn’t hear back until now or any updates on the case.
I haven’t contacted the senator yet, and to contact is that done via call or application/email? Please confirm.
Did the petitioner stay with you after the interview or left back to USA?

Just to give you guys some hope my wife got visa in hand this week, after 5 months of administrative processing. interview was middle of September 2019. Was given the 221g to submit additional documents and proof of relationship, which she did a a few days later by courier as well as uploading it to CEAC website.
My case is relatively simple first marriage for both of us and no need for co sponser. I mailed the i130 in November 2018 so total time from initial application was close to 16 months. I submitted everything myself, no attorney.

I haven't see anyone getting a visa yet, if they were interviewed in October... especially if missing documents and previously married.
CO kept all the documents, pictures and passport and told us to mail missing documents.

We were told to upload it on CEAC which we did two days later. I have sent 4 inquiries have not heard back but one update in November. What may cause to take this long? Also, i haven’t gone back since the interview. The CO kept the passport along with the wedding photos and returned all the other documents. Please advise.
I would say to do another inquiry perhaps through congressional inquiry, because they are not replying when you did the inquiry on your own .
But again you might get the same answer like myself and others that " we need a little more time to review the documents"
So waiting and praying that is all we can do so far ☹️
Good luck to you and keep us all posted if you hear any news!!!

That they need little more time to review the documents which I had provided to them, and also they don't need anymore documents from me.
Its easy to get hold of Senator of your state by calling or by visiting to their office.
Was your interview on 18th October 2019?
And what were you told on your interview?

What did they respond to you after senator got involved? How did you get in touch with the senator?

Why weren’t you given a visa? Don’t you need to wait 180 days before you can contact a senator? Because I’ve been waiting four months now and they haven’t responded to any of my queries either. What is your case type?
Cr1 is the case type, it has been 4 months and two days since the interview.
I involve senator because they were not replying mine nor my attorneys inquiry.
I was given 221g because I did not bring "urdu Nikkah Nama" on the interview.

I have on same day interview Oct,18/2019. Still no visa. First update was October,25th...then nothing till Senator from my state inquired about the case, and then case was updated 24th January and January 28th . The last update I have February 4th.
Nothing after that.
It seems like mine and yours interview was on same day and same month(October 18th,2019).
I sent in three inquiries by myself, and my attorney also Inquired about the case but no response from embassy.
But when my state's Senator Inquired they replied in 3rd day.

Anyone know if a US citizen spouse is allowed to attend with spouse for the visa interview for IR1 CR1 at Islamabad embassy ? I’ve heard recently they don’t allow spouses anymore and also on the website it doesn’t say anything about spouse being allowed or not. Wanting to hear from others experiences lately thanks.
I'm US citizen and my wife had interview on October,18th. I was not required to be there but I attended the interview with my wife without any problem.
The interview was at "US Embassy Islamabad"

Let me know if you recieve any updates. Since we are of the same months maybe our turn for the review will come together
Sure, I would post updates on my case. So far I have only two updates, First one was when I submitted requested docs, October 25th, and second one was 12th December. Nothing after that. I guess Embassy staff went for a long sleep and we all have to wait till they get up and start working again...lol
Good luck to you!

U should also submit via courier original urdu nikkah nama.. they asked me in email submit urdu nikkah nama n previous wedding pics.. I uploaded n courier both
Hey buddy,
I did submit through courier though but did not uploaded, they asked me send it through courier so I did that.
Question for you,..were you previously married? Because you mentioned that you uploaded previous wedding pics.
In my case I was previously married. I'm trying to figure out if someone was previously married in that case they take longer then usual or this procedure is for everyone whom has the interview at Islamabad embassy?
