Wow, you can translate the document yourself? No problem with the notary, my bank will do it for free.
Did you translate the English on top of the existing birth certificate, or create a seperate document?

Need birth certificate translated from Spanish to English for AOS.
Any recommendations on where to get this or how much it will cost?
Thank you!

jlh, I know it is hard to believe. But, it is true.
We just got back from Juarez. Juarez is the ONLY consulate processing K-1's, and no appointment is needed. We can appreciate the inconvenience of having to go to Juarez. My fiance had to take a bus from Reynosa to Monterrey, then take a plane to Juarez. I only had to take a plane from Phoenix to El Paso and cross to Juarez. We met there in Ciudad Juarez Airport.
You just need your appointment "invitation" letter to present at the medical and the consulate.
Word of advice, don't leave the medical without having them fill out the DS-3025 complete. Several of us are in this situation. If you bring your vacination documentation, make them fill out this form with vaccination history. Otherwise, they will leave it blank and you need this later for the I-693 form during the AOS.
Best of luck.

2008 is going to be great!!!
We have our FIANCE VISA in HAND!!!
A long stressful time in our lives is over, now we can concentrate on our wedding and the move to the US!!!
Everyone, I really appreciate all your help and advice during these times.
I do not think we could have done this alone without VJ and the users.
Thank you!
The AOS is next, can't wait!...ha.

Hola everyone, need some assistance with this question:
"30. Have You Ever Been Issued a U.S. Visa? When? Where?"
My fiance has a Laser Visa that she uses to cross to the US regularly for shopping and leisure activities. She has no idea the dates of all her crossings, etc... What is the appropriate response here?
Also, my fiance has obtained three B-2 Visas in the past to travel and visit me. But, we never made copies of these. They were returned to immigration before their expiration. We do not have the dates of issue for these either. What is the appropriate reponse here also?
Anyone with previous experience? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you.

Hi everyone, hope everyone is enjoying their holidays!
I need some help with some last minute items. I received the US citizen copy of the invitation letter in the mail Nov. 19, but my fiance in Mexico has not received her invitation letter and packet. Our NOA2 expires 1/9/08!
Need confirmation, can we use my copy of the invitation letter? Or, do you have to use the one the fiance should receive?
Also, can someone else confirm if the consulate will be open 1/2/08 - 1/4/08? I know that the consulate is supposed to be open all days except American and Mexican holidays and last friday of the month. Just want to make sure the following days after New Year's are not considered "Gov't" holidays.
Can anyone recommend a hotel to stay in Juarez? I'm really looking forward to seeing mi amor!!!
Lastly, the example forms DS-157, DS-158, and DS-230 on Visa Journey are not included in the Fiance Visa Packet available online on the Juarez Consulate website. Can someone confirm what these are for? And, that they are not needed?
Thanks as always!

It it the best and the worst of times!!!
We just received our approval on 9/10 and received the NOA2 by mail today 9/14!!! So exciting!!!
However, I was just laid off from work two weeks ago!!! I can't believe this!!!
I need some prayers with my job searching/networking.
I hope everyone is well and get your approvals soon!

Hello, we just received the NOA2 in the mail today.
The Notice says it is valid from 9/10/2007 to 1/09/2008?
Does anyone know why this form has an expiration? I understand we need to reply within a specified time limit when my fiance receives her packet from the Consulate. But, I do not understand this date on the NOA2.
Any clarification from someone would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks as always!!!

Ok, I'm trying not to freak out...but
I submitted the 129F back in April, still waiting for NOA2...
I was just laid off at work, and wondering if I will need to report this change on my G325A?
Can I wait to find a new job, and let the NOA2 process normally? Then inform the Consulate of the job change at the interview.
Not sure exactly what to do.
Thanks to anyone who might have some insights.

Alright, it's about time we see some action! It will be great when this thread turns into a place to rejoice!
Good luck everyone.

Anyone have any updates? Nothing new for Sofia and I.
-
Best of luck to us all.
We received our NOA1, but now we wait...
-
Thank you kitkat1. I appreciate you taking the time to make me feel better...ha.
This information was anything but obvious. Hopefully Sofia and I will not be penalized.
I do take responsibility, because I definitely should have called the consulates to ask this question. But, I am definitely upset with my local office here in Phoenix. I scheduled an INFO PASS meeting, and the immigration officer said nothing about this when I told them I intended to have this sent to Matamoros!!! Sorry for the rant, but they were no help to me. Until I found VJ, I thought I was totally alone.
Thanks to all!!!

Woo hoo!!!
They took my $ and our NOA1 is in the mail!!!
So excited, we are on our way!!!

Thank your all for your direction. I hope you are all right about not receiving an RFE for this oversight.
I have spent all day trying to find anywhere on USCIS or anywhere else for that matter...where it states?:
Ciudad Juarez is the only consulate that processes family immigration visas in Mexico.
Don't get me wrong, I believe you. I checked out the CJ website and reveiwed the "Fiance packet". These resources were not available on Matamoros or Monterrey consulate websites.
But, I'm just confused how I could have missed such an important detail. I am very proud of my I-129F submission, and am confident we should not have any other troubles.
Thank you again for everyone's assistance. Can someone please send me a hyperlink to the site or location where I can find this. I told my fiance about our mistake, but we are OK. We know our lives are in good hands from a higher power...

Sorry, I submitted an I-129F fiance visa. Not family.
Where do I find this information? Please help.
Thank you!!!

Help!!!
I already filed our I-129 and listed the consulate to forward after CSC processes as Matamoros Consulado.
I went to the Matamoros Consulado website and it did not mention anything about processing these types of visas.
I was updating "My Timeline" on VJ and noticed this consulate was not an option?
Maybe I should have chosen Monterrey, Mexico Consulado.
Does anyone know if I can verify which consulate I should have used for Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico?
And, if I listed the wrong one on my I-129...will I receive an RFE? Can I call and change it at the CSC?
I hope I am wrong. Any help will be appreciated.
