So with the new system that been setup where applicant get stuck at the payment step it is because no payment has been made.  Although  visa fees are explain you can't make payment if an invoice hasn't been created for your account.  In order for the invoice to be created which gives the option of paying with m-pessa or cash at postbank branch; this is only possible if they are any interview dates available! once you select a date then your invoice is created and you are given 5 days to pay.  Once the payment clears then you are allowed to move to schedule step which in most case will also have no date available so you will have to check regular for date availability. I kind of sensed the date would not hold because no time slot were given.  Yes the date you chose while trying to make payment will not hold! If you traveling to Nairobi I suggest you don't make any plan of coming until you have  some sort of document confirming your appointment date and time.
