I want to get my mom and my nephews here to the USA from India. My wife will help me. She is US citizen and I am LPR. What can we do? What is the best way.

How should we start?

Your wife can not help with getting your Mom an immigrants visa to the US, you will have to wait until you are a US Citizen and then you can file for her as an immidiate relative. She will get a IR-5 visa and it will take about 1 year for processing.

I am sorry to tell you there is no way for you to get your nephews an immigrants visa, you can not file for a sibblings children you would have to file for your brother/sister and they would then have to file for their children. There is a very long wait time for Brothers/Sisters of a US Citizen.

As a LPR you can only file for a Spouse or your own children under 21.

I need to send a power of attorney to india to my family. They my signitures on some documents, I dont want them to be stranded, that is why I am planing to send a power of attorney from here.

for the time being you can have a break... if it is a conditional one you will have to remove the conditions before the two years is up. If it is a LPR card then in 3 years you can apply for citizenship or in 10 years renew your card.

my visa type is IR1 that iimigrant visa packet is given only to immigrant visa holders guys,

i dnt have any pending petitions,,

and dear when i checked my status using the number given in the notice otherthan the A- number it said they have approved my card and it will be sent to me

i think you need a joint sponcer form dear and provide all the details of your fathers incomes like pay stubs and income tax returns of recent three years

dear simply male. i think i had checked on ds230 for ssn but i still went to the social security office and filled up some forms and the lady there told me that the ss card will be sent to me by mail, then after few days i got it in the mail.

guys i hope my GC will come soon now

hey guys how ar you i hope every body is fine there, i got my SSn yesterday in the mail, they told me that it will take a coupld of weeks to get my social security mailed but it was there in the mail yesterday
