  1. it's such a big waiting game. after you file the applications, you wait for receipt notice; then you wait for the biometrics; then you wait for any touches; and finally when you receive the approval/card production notice, you still have to wait for the actual card to get to you. and of course, after all that.. we know that we have to wait yet again before we can apply to lift conditions; then the longest (and hopefully last) wait of all-- applying for citizenship.

    phew!

good luck to us all! ;)

  2. You'll never guess it...I got an e-mail from my buddy Cris today and AOS is now pending in California! They must have used carrier pidgeons.

Still no EAD, but I'm hoping that our good luck will continue and it will be in the post today. Please, USPS (USPS is also holding my wedding dress hostage. I'm not very happy with them. :P )

Anyway...yay! Congratulations, Creel. Welcome back, mybackpages. I hope that your RFE doesn't hold things up too much.

finally! that took quite some time :)

good luck on the new job flutter! :)

as for me, still no EAD card. but touches almost everyday--both on the AOS and EAD. if only patience can be bought from the grocery... i would get it in dozens...

  3. Btw, I think some of the immigration officers like the power!

true. i must say, it's a nice position to be in. and it is unfortunate that we are at their mercy. ;)

You and I have a very similar timeline and neither of us have received our pending notification. I wonder if ours are stuck somewhere together? I'm going to keep an eye out for you and hope yours gets some sort of action soon. <3

thanks! btw, congrats on the EAD :) sure hope i get mine soon...

  4. good for everyone who were smart enough to apply for SSN soonafter POE. as for me, i didn't.

so.. with my I-94 expired, i have no choice but to wait for my EAD to be able to apply for SSN. i just wish i knew better or that i discovered this site sooner. that way i could have gotten things done e.g. get a driver's license or a state I.D. in short, i don't have any form of valid i.d. ergo, i can't do anything. my husband cannot even add me to his insurance just bcoz i don't have my SSN yet. tsk tsk tsk :(

sorry for the rant. just trying to show how important the SSN is here. :dead:
