thanks for the reply. Well, when i got my interview it was 3 months. But still got denied. Im getting ready to apply again so this time just wanted to make sure.

How long should I wait after getting a denail due to 3 month state residency requirement?

I was not aware of the 3 month rule. I did mentioned on the cover page that I will be moving. I don't understand why would they process my application then? They should have just returned my application. That would have been better! Thanks for the feedback guys.

I have a question, I had my N-400 interview on 4-25-11. the officer told me right at the beginning of the interview that there is a law regarding 3 month wait period once you move. I applied in mid dec 2010 from VA but I mailed it to NJ district and on the cover page I mentioned that I will be moving to NJ. Has that happened to someone? I still have not heard anything from USCIS nor my status has been updated.

Thanks, Im going to keep my NJ apt. I don't trust USCIS with their delays! I changed the address online and I had to mail form AR-11.

Hi all, I need some help regarding my situation. I filed for N-400 in dec 2010. I got my biometric apt notice 12-28-2010. I originally applied from NJ but before i got the notice I moved to VA. I changed my address. Should I wait to get new biometric apt notice or should I request for a new one??? Should I just get my fingerprints done in NJ??? Would it delay my process a lot?????

HI GUYS, I HAVE A QUESTION, I GOT AN E-MAIL FROM CRIS SAYING LAST ACTION TAKEN ON MY CASE AND MY CASE IS TRANSFERED TO CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER. IM CONFUSED, I LIVE IN NJ, ISNT IT SUPPOSE TO BE TRANSFERED TO VERMONT SERIVCE CENTER. IS THIS NORMAL??? WHAT DOES IT MEAN??????? IM WORRIED!!! NOW I HAVE TO WAIT TILL I GET THE LETTER IN THE MAIL WHICH I HAVE NOT RECIEVED AS YET, ANYONE OUT THERE IS YOU KNOW PLEASEEEEEEEEE HELPPP!!!! THANKS!!

I don't know for sure, but I heard that Van embassy stops doing K1. I just had my interview and the waiting time was close to 4 months, so I think it is still 2-4 months like they said.

I don't know where you heard that - the Vancouver embassy is still processing K1s, since I've just received my Packet 3 from them. Not sure about the interview times though.

exactly, i dunno where you heard that from. Vancouver embassy is still processin k1 and the waiting time is not at all 2-4 months its in weeks dependin on how fast you send back packet 3 unlike Montreal that jus takes foreverrrrr!!!

you guys just sent in ur checklist this month?? and they're sayin u can get ur interview in the month of june/july?? how were you able to ck that??? plzzzz help me i dont want to wait 7 months, caz thas wha i have heard. anyways, how r u suppose to call and ck the status of ur case???????

hi guys, i have a Q...i just sent my packet 3 to montreal embassy. I've heard montreal is backlog and now its taking 4-6 months instead of 2-4. is there anyway i can transfer to vancouver embassy. my lawyer says its impossible. but i've heard that a lot of ppl did. PLEASE some let me kno what to do and how to transfer if possible.
