  1. When I came in here in the US, I had my 4 year old daughter with me but she is not as active with formula as your 2 year old bundle of joy.. I guess it would help if you could have the formula ready in her bottle and just pour some water on it when she is ready to have it. You could always ask water from the flight attendants and I have seen kids in my flight, had their milk and diaper bag with them with no problem in immigration...

Good luck and have a safe trip...

  2. Basing on my experience, I had my interview last January 10, 2007 and my NBI would expired last May 13, 2007. I didn't have any problems at all.. Anyway, NBI clearance is not needed when you get here in th US.. Good luck to you...

  3. its not that im too excited with my interview schedule..im just wondering ...

For our tour in USEmbassy, we observed that there’s a corner there designed for kids. Providing some toys too…Quite relief for applicants whose going to bring some kids inside. I’m just wondering, can I bring my babysitter inside during the interview procedure?

    thanks!

    alexandra

No alexandra, you can't bring your babysitter during the interview. When I did mine, I have to watch after my daughter coz my brother wasn't allowed inside. Anyway the interview is faster than the medical so just bear with it.. Good luck!

  4. Duh... USCIS have today touched my EAD and AP, and approved my EAD. That'll come in handy, then.:lol: I saw I had another 'card production ordered' email and assumed it was just a duplicate of the AOS one from yesterday... but no, they've approved the EAD a day AFTER the AOS. Wonder if they'll really send me one, or if they'll work out that I don't need it now... although thinking about it, I doubt they're that organised!

Also had the AOS touched earlier this morning, and the case status on that is now 'notice mailed welcoming the new permanent residenet'... it was sent yesterday, apparently. Hm.

    Good luck, everyone else...!!

I have a lot of touches after my card production email arrived feather.. It all states that they sent all kinds of notices to me but until now I haven't received anything in the mail yet.. Well, the waiting never ends...

  5. So much movement here it's hard to keep track. Congrats to everyone.

Things seem to be working at USCIS, although the same old double messages thing happened to us again. We received the actual, physical EAD card on Aug 6th! Then the next day I got another CRIS update that the EAD was approved and notice was sent. Who knows. If they send me two, I won't complain (it just makes you wonder what's going on over there  )

That's weird but the more the better...:lol::lol:

  6. i got my Green Card yesterday afternoon.

    i'm so happy. :dance::dance::dance::dance:

i don't need to stay at home anymore, while my hubby goes on a business trip to Canada.

i can go with him now.

plus i can finally work now.

better start getting my resumes out.

resumes are so different here, compared to the UK.

think this is a chance for me to change my career.

thanks to everyone who has answered all my questions on getting me through this process.

    you've all been great.

    :D:D:D:D

congrats to all those who have got their green cards too.

wishing all those who are still waiting for theirs, the best of luck.

    congratulations!!! :dance::dance::dance:

To all still waiting, best of luck!!

  8. My wife has been away from me for close to 2 weeks at a friends house. She has promised to come back home today but I feel she has abandoned me. I came home last night after work and everything from her room including the baby's stuff is all gone. Its like she came home, packed everything and left me. I love my wife and miss her so much....but Im worried about what happens now. I know we must get a divorce...there is no question about that. I have tried to make it work and offer her help but she wont return home to me. We just started the AOS process as well. She has not made her biometrics appt or anything. I need help please...im stressing and im going nuts. Can someone please guide me to tell me what happens on the immigration side of the world? She entered as a K1 visa with a K2. We got married everything good but this has happened. Im really scared as I dont want to be in any trouble with INS. Thanks for your help!

You wont get into trouble if you haven't done anything that would indicate you have abused her and her kid. She can't get her GC without you and she will end up going back to her country if her visa expires. But you have to watch out since you signed the affidavit of support on your AOS process. My advise is just based on other stuff that I read. To make it more clear for you on what to do, I think it is better to contact an immigration lawyer or call USCIS.

Before I go, I hope you could patch it up with your wife and not have to go through all these.

  9. Wow!! Good news for you mephys!! featherB can you do to me what you did to mephys too??:lol: ...

No touches for me either since my biometrics but I know I have a long wait to go... I will let bora bora have her GC first since she waited longer than I did..:yes::yes:

Hope all would go well for all of us!! Me, hubby and kids will be having our summer vacation tomorrow, a few days in the beach would be great in passing our time waiting for any news from uscis.. Maybe when we get back home, good news would be in the mail or in the website..

    Goodluck guys!! See you later...

  10. So nice to know that there have been a lot of transfers in our thread for the past couple of days. Congratulations to all of you guys and wishing you a fast approval!! I am now jealous... In a good way though..

I did my biometrics last July 2nd and they also did a biometrics for my 5 years old daughter too. I got my touch from the biometrics, and now I am just waiting for the precious transfer or interview date!!!

Goodluck guys and I hope those who have waited long enough will have their transfers and interviews soon.. Arazia thanks for staying with this thread even if you got your gc already.. just want you to know it is appreciated..

  11. So glad to hear that one May filer got their gc already.. Congratulations buxton babe!! You rock!!! Goodluck to you too arazia!! Hope you're hubby will have the next gc here in our thread..

I got touched last June 14th but last monday, June 18th, I received my RFE letter for my hubby's tax information (we sent the entire form all over again since we already submitted all of it in our application). We mailed our reply to the RFE yesterday, June 19th and hopefully all would go well with our case once they receive it..
