Only Paris has an immigrant visa unit, and immigrant visa units do K-1 interviews, so it'll be in Paris.

As far as I know, no country has more than one embassy/consulate with an immigrant visa unit (and some have none -- either due to a low number of immigrants or other issues -- and so people from those countries have to interview in another country; beneficiaries from Norway have to interview in Stockholm, for example).

I could be completely wrong, I'm only google literate when it comes to these things. haha, But when I looked it up, I read that there was a US consulate in Lyon France and the US embassy was located in Paris.

Anywho, we will cross that bridge when it comes. I appreciate your comments DaveAndAnastasia!

It seems like you haven't filed your petition yet, so you're at the petition stage.

Your fiancee (going by your profile and timeline) is from France.

There's no need to front-load your petition with relationship evidence for very low-fraud western European countries, so you just need evidence of an in-person meeting (passport stamps, airline boarding passes, pictures together) and of intent to marry (typically signed letters from each of you; it's okay to scan and email these).

Relationship evidence is for the interview at the embassy/consulate stage.

ok awesome. This helps. Yes we are at the petition stage. I wasn't sure how in depth it needed to be.

Speaking of embassy/consulate, in France there is only one embassy in Paris which is 5 hours from her. There is however a US consulate in Lyon which is only an hour from where she lives. Do you know if interviews take place exclusively at the embassy or is there a chance she could just do it at the consulate close to her?

    Very helpful info, thank you!

  3. So, I'm currently building my petitioners packet. My fiance and I have technically only known each other for 6 months, but I know more than i've known anything before, that this woman is the woman I want to be with for the rest of my life.

We have TONS of screen shots of our phonecalls, facetimes, textx, snapchats, whatsapp conversations. I don't really understand what's the most beneficial for me to include. Like, entire conversations or just noting the fact that we spoke on such-n-such date.

Do the officers want to see content or just proof of ongoing communication. I am worried if I screenshot entire conversations to show context that I will not be able to show how frequent our conversations are, but I also don't want to just send random half convos that have no context and could be confusing.

Does anyone have any sound advice on this subject?
