And with the COVID restrictions, they might extend it to a year. He can just ask the interview officer. But if I were you I’d get the process done ASAP and get the visa atleast. NVC process takes a couple of months and then with the 6 months travel time you’ll have atleast until feb-March of 2021 to travel to USA. And I think that’s plenty of time and flights will be open by then.

Thank you so much, that answers a question I had not considered before 😊😊. I was referring to Nigeria being on the travel ban list for immigrant visas.

Got my NOA 2 approval today and I am excited yet still worried, my spouse is in Nigeria and with the travel ban and all I am not sure how to proceed. Does anyone have tips on how to file the appeal/exemption?
