Hello everyone. I have been on this forum since 2017. My wife was just issued a IR1/ CR1 visa today. It took us 3 years to get a visa after filling law suit "WOM". Here is my timeline...

    i130 Sent: March 2017

    i130 Approved: October 2017

Interview: Feb 14th, 2018 and put in AP

    Filed WOM: December 2019

USCIS asked for extension: March 26, 2020 due to covid-19

    Visa Issed: June 4th, 2020

I thank everyone who helped me stay calm and patient. But I truly believe that they would have kept us waiting for another 2 years if I did not file WOM through my lawyer.

I wish everyone good luck and I hope you all reunite with your family members soon. This was a very long and hard journey for us.

I have a question guys My fiancé had his K1 visa interview in October 2019 in Islamabad. We then got sent The questionnaire and put into AP. In December of 2019, it changed to non immigrant application received. We had like a few updates in the last 3 months and then my fiancé received a call from the embassy last month asking if he could travel before March 26th (I assume that’s because his medical was due to expire around that date) he said yes and after that we had no updates on the case until today it says Refused. I know that they c hanged the wording from AP to refused while it undergoes process . does that mean our case is in AP? And will go to issued next? Since it usually goes from noN immigrant application received to AP to issued..

The word refused kind of scared me!

    thanks in advance!

    What is the description below?

Hey guys. My fiancé had his K1 interview in October. They didn’t need any documents. We submitted the DS5540 once they sent it to us and then our status changed from immigrant to non immigrant in December. And then we have been stuck in the application received. We had one date update in January. This morning my fiancée received a call from the embassy in Islamabad.. the person asked him if they issued his visa would he be able to travel before March 26. And we said yes.. and he said great thank you. And hung up.The date also updated to today’s date.
    anyone have a similar experience?

    Interview date ?

Thanks I am based in New York I have spoken to a very good lawyer whom I have known for past 16 years. Did you file WOM and had any success after that  ?  If that's the case can you please share your lawyer info with me ? My brother in law case is in Administrative Processing since Sep-2018 which I am trying to expedite it by filling WOM.

No I didn’t he asked me to wait atleast for an year to file WOM and my lawyer doesn’t file WOM so his info wouldn’t be helpful

Did anyone file WOM for pending case from 2018 ? And if had any success because I spoke to my lawyer he said WOM can be only filed for cases with in US can't be done for overseas cases. I have seen some successfully stories here where people filed WOM and was able to get visa. So wondering if someone had success with case pending from 2018 ?

Its not that. My lawyer told me that its for all the us embassies around the world. And if your case is in administrative processing, WOM is supposed to get the answer from the embassy only they can even refuse your case after WOM if they want
