I'm hoping to schedule for an earlier interview date so Polina can start school on time. Any thoughts? I called Moscow which was a waste of time and money.

Quick Update - Polina decided to ship via pony express a box of her clothes since she didn't want to carry it around Moscow during her interview. Carrying extra luggage around Moscow is not advised... I guess bringing clothes here will be cheaper then buying new clothes. Then again, she's a woman and they all NEED new clothes... =) We're both excited about her interview!

Good luck!
Look forward to reading your review...

Hello K1'ers,
What do people do get their fiance(e)'s belongings to the US? My fiancee lives in Russia so I want to avoid shipping all her clothes since it's not cheap. For the members from Russia, what did you do? I read there's a limit of 20KG (44 lbs) per economy passenger so that doesn't sound much. I won't be able to fly with her to her POE so unfortunately, she'll be alone. =( We're both disappointed of course...
Any help is appreciated.

3 weeks... Not too bad. We got our approval on 5/31 so ours should be sent to Moscow soon. Congrats!

Hello All,
This is my first post and my fiancee and I are quite pleased since we got our NOA2 today!!! It's nice to see progress though this is going to be a LONG journey. I get the feeling, we'll be using this website a lot over the next few years and appreciate all the info and honesty here. Thanks again for your information and kinds words.
Looking forward to our next steps... I think NVC receives our petition and sends it to Moscow. Too many acronyms!!!
Talk soon,
Aston

We're also planning to be in Moscow for about a week (2 days for medical + 1 day interview + 3 days to wait for visa in hand). Is that about right? I guess this is reasonable though of course, we wish it would be faster. Has anyone gotten their visa in less then 3 days?
