  1. Congratulations on the new addition to your family. Your son and your entire family are in my thoughts and prayers. I was a NICU nurse for over 10 years so these little premies have a special place in my heart! It sounds like he is getting good care and needing less supplemental oxygen and weaning from the vent-- All good things! Remember that the air we breathe is 21% oxygen so he doesn't have far to go to wean down to room air!! Get lots of rest for yourself while he is growing and getting better-- you will need it when he comes home!!! (L)

    Hugs to you all!

  2. Try ECE.org. My husband is from Egypt and has a bachelors in accounting. He sent his original degree and transcripts in both English and Arabic and $175 fee. We thought it would help us know what classes he would need to obtain a bachelors equivalent in the US, we were happily surprised to find out that course by course his Egyptian degree matched the USA requirements and has a certificate stating this. He plans to apply for his masters in January. Good luck!!

PS You might want to verify who to use at the college he plans to attend. They might have a preference.

  3. Hello,

I'd like to apply for a Master Program and I'd like to get my diplomas (bachelor degrees) and transcripts accredited by an agency here in the US (and get the equivalence of the GPA as well). I do have the translation of the documents. However some agencies ask that the transcripts to be sent by the educational institution overseas, a thing that is almost "impossible" from Moroccan universities... so my option is: I send myself the original documents or certified copies to them!!

Does anybody recommend any agency and others to avoid. Answers from people with Moroccan degrees will be a plus.

    Many thanks

  5. Hi everybody!!

Just wanted to share that Ashraf got his permanent resident card in the mail today! They must be really speeding up processing times for AOS, as ours took only a little over 3 months-- and that was with an RFE (they wanted the G325-- that I already sent! They must have lost it!) Since he got his EAD a few weeks back he was able to start a temporary position at a local distribution center yesterday! It's only until the 30th of August, but you gotta start somewhere!! :)

God bless all of you that are still waiting for your sweethearts--- my thougths and prayers are with you for a speedy reunion!!

Im so cofused. Im not sure he got any stamp in passport for this. Please, anyone who has had their SO come on K1 that is under 30, please help me. He is due to travel this sunday..and we need to be sure his papers are right before going to airport. Any help is appreciated. Thanks,

    Faith

Ahmed just told me recently that he has a stamp in his passport, but I can check to be sure about that.

He is an only son and doesn't have to serve.

    Faith,

Like I said in the PM I sent you Ashraf had a stamp. Ashraf said that if he served in the military before he will get a letter only. I don't know if that will help at all?? Sunday!! I am so excited for you two!!!!

  8. Hi!!

Ashraf flew here from Cairo on March 14th with a one way ticket. We are a K1 visa like you. He had no problems at all, but did have to show his visa along with the immigration packet (the one they tell you not to open). A lot of ppl were insisting we needed a 2 way ticket. The travel agency, the man at the airline etc. but once Ashraf was there and showed them his visa and this packet there was NO problem. I purchased this one way ticket on Expedia with my credit card and he was never asked to show this credit card. Congratulations Oneder I am so happy for the two of you!!

  10. Wow! Lots going on since I left on Friday to pick up my habibi!! Congratulations to all of you issued visas and hugs and prayers to those of you still waiting! I picked up my sweetie in Chicago on Friday-- POE was fine, the woman was a little rude, but I only had to wait for him for about an hour. We spent the weekend in Chicago and then HOME!! We are so happy to finally start our life together-- it was DEFINATELY worth the wait!! God's blessings to you all!!
