Just kidding, yes, DQ means "Documentarily Qualified". Your case is done with the NVC and is off to the Embassy. You should expect the interview letter soon.
Can someone send me a link for the chat I was able to go whilst I was in Mumbai - Jan 2020. Thank yu

Hi All-
If you experienced a Covid19 impact to your immigration case please update your timeline. There is a new field (at the top) to document where the impact hit you. We would like to track this across the site and when things clear up, work to push USCIS and Consulates to clear the log jam. Information is power!
Can someone help me get a link so i can chat to my folks who were attending interviews in Jan 2020 and onwards. My laptop had a virus a few days before I left for States. Thank you

Friends,
I submitted documents to NVC late Aug 2019 and NVC accepted all documents on Oct 4th. They however asked for ONE additional document that I uploaded on Oct 7th. Today is Nov 13th and I have not heard anything on the ONE document that I uploaded.
Does anyone know the timeline. I would be appreciative.
Thank you

Dear Admin, my laptop crashed whilst I was in Mumbai. Now I am in USA with my family, we arrived here on Feb 13th. Could you send me a link so I can say hello to the entire group with a big thank you.

Was it a Marriage Termination Certificate? I submitted all my documents on CEAC on Oct. 4th and then I was also asked to submit my marriage termination certificate on Nov 21st.
I have still not heard anything back yet and it's going on 7 weeks now (Jan. 2)... I'm just extremely frustrated.
No, it was Police Certificate. We received the Interview Letter on Dec 26th 2019 in Mumbai.

Friends,
I was hoping someone can help me with me with these questions:
- How do you know or find out when your case/s are transferred to Consulate overseas from NVC. My wife's consulate is Mumbai.
- Does NVC send the interview letter/s or does the Consulate after they receive the files?
- I have 3 Immediate Relative Petitions with NVC, all approved. The first one was accepted on Oct 4, 2019, the 2nd one on Nov 15th, 2019 and 3rd was accepted on Nov 19th, 2019.
- I have been alone for 3 years and now it is really pinching me. I am not sure when we will receive the interview in Mumbai.
Thank you,
Sanjay

I don't think they send ILs via mail (post). It is email only. I don't know specific for the IL but sometimes NVC emails are automated, so some may get them after hours or evening/weekend.
Thank you, my cases are immediate relative of s US Citizen and all documents have been approved and accepted ny NVC. Not sure how many months it takes to get an interview at Mumbai Consulate.

Hi All,
Does anyone know how often NVC schedules Interviews with Consulates - is there a pattern someone can suggest. My spouse and her kids Consulate is in Mumbai, India.
Thank you,

Dear Friends,
Has anyone received IL from NVC over the weekends or evening (after close of business).
Thank you,

On a given day, interviews scheduled will be spread over an entire month. If 20 interviews in Mumbai are scheduled today, they'll be on 20 different random days. You just wait to read your notice and arrange your schedule accordingly.
Gotcha, thank you.

Dear Friends,
Does anyone know when NVC generally schedule interviews? Is it end month, beginning or middle of month.
Thank you,

Dear Friends,
Can anyone tell me how many days/weeks/months it takes NVC to send the interview letter at the Consulate after all documents are qualified. I have 3 Immediate Relative Petitions that are now in DQ.
The 1st case was DQ on Oct 4th, 2nd Case on Nov 7th and the 3rd (and Final) on Nov 19th. Our Consulate is in Mumbai, India.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Dear Friends,
My spouse and her 2 little kids had their case DQ for interview in Mumbai (India) but not sure when we will get an interview. My brother lives in Botswana (Africa) and gave me an idea to have NVC interview her in Botswana as there is hardly any backlog there (not sure).
Can we get this moved or done? If anyone can share some ideas or their experiences I will be very obliged. Thank you.

Nope. NVC did not review the submitted docs of my stepson for a long time. Once they finally did, they granted an IL for my stepson, I emailed Expedite to NVC, and 2 days later got the same interview date for my husband.
Thank you so much for your good wishes!
Hi, could you please help with nvc expedite reasoning. I am staying alone since early 2017 and waiting for IL for my wife abroad. I also want NVC to consider my expedite request but not sure what to really say to NVC so then can consider my request. Thank you

I had my interview on Nov 19th and my visa was approved. I thank each one of you and all those who used to be around during the time my processing was going on, for all the support and guidance! The interview was fairly straightforward. The following questions were asked:
- When did you meet?
- Where did you meet?
- When did you get engaged?
- How long were you in the US before?
- Did you overstay?
- Did you work while you were there?
- Why did you stay in Hong Kong?
- What does your husband do?
- Where does he live?
- How many people attended your wedding?
For this last question, while answering I offered to show the pictures I had taken with me. But CO said its okay, no need to see them. That got me a little worried, but the next thing she said was that the visa is approved. I did a lot of overthinking on account of a lot of minor things. But none of those things mattered in the end. All I can tell my fellow aspirants, is that most of it is in our head. We are all trying to legally join our husbands and their intention is only to help us and eliminate fraud. As long as we are good with the documents, we should be okay.
Good luck to all of you! God willing, you will all be joining spouses soon.
Congratulations and thanks for sharing the list of questions. Do you mind sharing when you got your DQ, and then the interview letter and finally the date which I thing was Nov 19th. I am trying to figure out when we will receive our interview letter and finally the interview date.

I got DQ on October 25. I have not received the interview yet. People who got DQ in August are getting interviews for December. Based on that, I am thinking that Sep DQs will get January and Oct DQs will be in February interviews, unless they speed up. Also,
Ouch. Can you let me know where you can find out the folks who are getting interviews in Mumbai. Is there a link that I can start monitoring for folks getting DQ and their interview dates. Thank you

I did not got approved. I am still waiting for the interview at Mumbai. I heard that normally it takes 4-5 days for the passport to be delivered at the address you specified. You can also pick up in 2-3 days in Mumbai.
You can read more here: https://www.ustraveldocs.com/in/in-loc-passportcollection.asp
Thank you. How many days did it take you to get the interview? When did you get your DQ email from NVC?

Congratulations twin!!! Party time....🎉
I am very happy for you right now. It must be a great feeling of finally getting done with this torture.
It was amazing how we had pretty much same dates/timeline for everything throughout the process. I am hoping that we get interview in January/February next year.
Wish you best of luck for future...
Congratulations. Would you please let me know the Consulate location? Was it Mumbai? Everyone is telling me that the stamped passport will be mailed that takes more than a week to arrive. My preference is if we can pick it up from the Mumbai Consulate. More so, my wife doesn't live in Mumbai and it would be tough for her to go back n forth. Any update/advice will be highly appreciated. Thanks and Congrats again.
