I was informed that people who are approved for VAWA are eligible to get financial aid at their university.  I am having an issue with this though and my university doesn't seem to know what to do either.  I've searched online up and down and cannot seem to find a solution or similar issue.  

Anyways,  my school has been trying to find match in the FAFSA system and they've done the SAVE and third step verification as required but,  the results keep coming back from DHS as C which means that I'm not matching in the system as an eligible non-citizen. The financial aid officer actually said the results comes back as "I-485 pending". However, my VAWA has been approved since January of 2019 and I have a pending I-485. I even just got my work permit via having a pending application. 

Has anyone else had this experience? Can anyone please give me any advice on what to do please? I am a semester away from graduating college and this roadblock has already had me take a whole 2 years off school already, and now I'm back and it's the same issue. I just want to graduate. Any answers will be highly appreciated.
