Hello everyone,
It finally happened!!! My K3 petition made it to NVC today, 3/12/08, so soon I will be coming back to let you know when Mike's interview is.
Deb
YAY DEB!! Congrats!!
Thanks dave and jaz!!! Your the first one to notice in this thread. I think everyone that was in this group has their spouse home already so have stopped coming here. Can't blame them!
Deb
LOL! I can't blame them either. I must confess I've neglected this site a bit since my wife will be here in less than 48 hrs. There are no words for my excitement! :D :D :D I told gogo just as G&A had that we are going to remain until the rest of our group make it. Jaz and I will try and get on when we can. I also just moved and the place I moved to has no internet access at this time I will reply when I can from work though....

Hey guys, my wife just passed the interview for K3 and we got the pink slip (I'm still kind of in shock, but soooooo excited and happy too!!) WE'RE APPROVED!!! Woo hoo!

I've tried searching around on VJ and I cannot find any examples of letters to consul for visa pickup. Has anyone had success with this? If anyone has an example of this, please post. I would like to create one for my spouse who has an interview in a few days. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

*twiddles thumbs* 3 days to go for Jazzie's interview, and we're a wreck. Sorry I've been busy making preparations for Jazzie's arrival and I haven't really had a chance to get on VJ for a bit. Belated Congrats to all who made progress since my absence. And to all still waiting, stay strong, your time will come very soon.

davejazz, may I post this information in the philippine thread? I think having more options than just calling would be beneficial to all USEM petitioners.

Wintime, I know waiting is hard. It helps me to think about petitioners who have had more obstacles to overcome such as gogo and Divine. This philisophy helped me through tough times in the late 90s and early 2000.

Hey Kathryn,

Yeah there is. Jazzie called them up and they confirmed with us. They have three methods. The first is to email at busdev@delbros.com. The second is to call them at: 0917-339-2761. Lastly you could txt them at (fastest actually) 0917-6221949. *sighs* I pray there are no more complications.Absolutely Ed,
The way I see it, we're all in this together. Jaz and I are more than willing to help out in any way we can

Not a thread killer Ed. You know what the issue is, Delbros is forwarding the verification and your AR should wrap quickly. She'll be with you before you know it!Sorry to be a thread killer. This is why I did not respond to pkewls's inquiry and was hesitant to answer YGandMat's questions.
LOL, if only that was true. DELBROS sending our payment of document verification in this late will have no effect on the process. Meryll showed the receipt after the interview, when the man tried to charge her the fee a second time, and the process started then instead on on January 7th as it should have. The National Statistics Office began their verification of documents after the interview, so we are being treated as if we paid the fee after the interview. The purpose of paying the fee before the interview is to have the verification completed by the interview.
Thanks for the cheerful thoughts though.
I'm sorry to hear about the delay guys. Jaz and I are now worried about the same thing. We called DELBROS and, so they say, we are showing as paid and should be all set. For some strange reason, the cynical side in me is twitching... I hope you guys are together really soon. You guys have waited your time and its awful to keep you guys (or any of us for that matter) apart any longer. You have our thoughts and prayers.
-
Urge, I'm glad to hear that the interview is set in stone but I can understand your distress considering the time gap. No one gets left behind in this board We will still be here when you go through the interview. =) Congrats to everyone else on their visa progress as well

Hello, Amoro,
As Deb said, it's hard (if not impossible) to understand what USCIS really meant; if indeed what the officer told me will actually happen; or if my case and your case will have the same treatment.
Let me give you more details on how my conversation went with the officer. First thing she asked me was if I paid anything for my I-129F. I sent it in August, so the answer is no, I did not paid anything for my I-129F. Then the officer answered "your I-129F is going through an administrative cancellation. When I-130s were taking too long to get processed, I-129Fs made sense, but now since our times have improved (yeah, right), why would you want to have a K3 when you can have the I-130 approved? Your I-130 is in the queue for approval, may happen tomorrow, the day after, blah blah".
I was left with the impression that if I had paid for my I-129F, it would get processed. But since I didn't pay for it, my only option is to wait for the I-130. Go figure. Yesterday, after discussing this with my wife, I came to the conclussion that I could spend nights and nights trying to make sense of this whole process, and still be left with more questions than answers. So I will simply wait, Amoro. Wait for an RFE (I haven't got one yet), wait for I-130 approval, or maybe even I-129F approval. I will call USCIS around Feb 15th, if nothing happens before.
Please let me know if your case changes. Your case has been the closest to mine that I've found. Good luck, my friend.
Juan, that's exactly what they said to me in November. I was told by the person on the phone and their supervisor the same thing. They said it's their "policy" to terminate the I129F and I didn't really "need" it. They said i'd be better off in the long run but they didnt take into consideration that it takes a lot longer to get an interview for a CR1 then for a K3 so I was crushed.
I asked my senators to try to stop them from terminating it. They couldn't do anything.
I called them repeatedly only to be told the same thing over and over again. So i pursued the CR1. I made ALL the payments.. grand total $830. I now have one final set of documents to send them to complete the CR1 at the NVC and suddenly on 1/24 (after 4 months of inactivity.. 7 months after filing) my I129F was suddenly approved. Their "policies" are not policies. Their rules are only rules to some.
My advice, pursue the CR1 just in case they actually do terminate your I129F then you won't kick yourself later for wasting time but don't forget about that K3. The adjudicators clearly aren't let in on the policies of the USCIS and it might just be approved. Mine was not the only one that got approved suddenly.. asmo and davejaz had the same thing happen. Asmo and Davejaz were smart enough to pursue the CR1 from the beginning.. i didn't. I held out hope for that K3. In the end I got lucky. We may not all be so lucky.
Hello JC and Amoro,I am routing for you guys. I have been with the officers on the phone who say different things through the last 8 months. In the end, it is what this adjudicator does to the case on the desk. As deb said, there is no logic to this madness..Hope you guys get approved ASAP...
can this get an amen?
AMEN!
Some might call it "smart". I call it "lucky". But Jaz and I will graciously accept the compliment Kathryn, Thanks! Our K3 petition made it to USEM and CR1 is still pending at NVC on an RFE (those bastards) I am grateful for the interview but I hoping NVC schedules the CR1 interview in the same month. (I would much rather Jazzie come here as a (pardon the oxy-moron) "conditional" permanent resident) At least its something though, I just want her here...bottom line.

Far be it from me to bring anyone down on this awfully trying process, but here's an interesting article Jaz sent me: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=85478

crossing my fingers for you G&A
you're so close to the finish line... congratulations are in order!
btw, how's everyone?
edp333 - your wife's interview's coming up!
i can imagine the excitement and the anxiety building up
are you flying to manila to pick her up?
what about pkewl? and urge?
Hello All,
I am back
Sorry for being out of contact and a delayed reply but I was in India for the last 5 weeks visiting my wife there. Thank you all for dropping a note to see how we/I was doing - C & J, neenuh... and e'one else who checked upon us.
As for our case progress, my wife submitted her packet 3 on Dec 2nd and ridiculously got a visa appointment date on March 5th. Yes after 3 months for some reason . I guess Bombay is that busy or they just dont like us. Anyhow, my wife and I are just glad to have a visa appt date than NOT to have one at all or something worse. So, we are just playing the waiting game.
How about the rest of the bunch? Urge.. u still here...
Guys, I got to go right now but I will start catching up here on VJ as time permits.
Wishing everyone here a VERY GOOD LUCK for a NOA2 or with the visa appt date.. Hope things work out well for all of us.
Regards.
Hey Pkewl,
Good to see you back! Jaz and I have an interview of March 6th and a medical of Feb 28th. She's going to take an early medical. Its funny that my K3 made it to the embassy but it seems as though my CR1 is still rolling around at the NVC. Again, like you we are grateful that at least we have an appt. So close, yet still so far. As for the rest of the bunch, G&A have their appt today so hopefully as is well in Vancouver. I can't speak for the rest.
-
Congrats on the speedy approval RJP !
-
Good Luck G&A!!!
-
That's great news Puerco. I'm glad to hear you're out of the "black hole" finally. NVC with DHL is much faster Hang in there, once the embassy gets it, there should be a short wait and you can celebrate again with your interview and medical scheduling. Good luck!
-
*smiles* I know the origin of the question but I must say, reviewing the answers... no one said chocolate??? A staple for filipinas, and unless she's a diabetic would most likely be greatly appreciated.
-
I agree with G&A. Gogo, you're not alone.

Thank you all very much. It seems like it would never be but in less than 48 hours I will have Jazzie back in my arms after nearly a year! Jaz and I will still be here in forums cheering the rest of you guys on. We both firmly believe that we all started in this together...we're all going to finish it together. (Afterall we still have EAD, Removing Conditions, Citizenship etc..) The journey is not yet over but its about to get a little easier.
