  5. Hi.....fab thread...

ok Ive visited once for 2 weeks ...and have to say was not a good experience at POE, all the usual questions why was I there for how long etc ect...i was as honest as honest could be and as Jay and myself hadn't meet at that point I said meeting a friend....was asked have you been to America before answer NO.... so how do you know this person ....oh my life ....well when I said on the Internet you could see the look in his eyes .....anyway after about 20 mins of question after question I was allowed thru....

I fly out again in 2 weeks time ....and have to say was quiet worried about entering again as its for a period of 3 months.... I spoke to Michelle and Adam about Adams last experience and that really helped.....

So what am I taking with me well the list is quiet long and I'm really hoping in not over doing it...

I have my contract of employment, with a letter from my boss saying I'm on leave and expected back on such & such date....

my rent lease, various documents that show i have a teenage son....my bank account details and hoping to get a recent statement a couple of days before I leave...

my CRB form that shows I have no crimnal recored and that I am a volunteer youth worker, and after talking with Michelle have gone with the letter of where I am staying ...which is with Jays mom, she has stated that I am staying at her house I will not be required to pay anything to wards my up keep that I arrive on flight ***** on such date and leave on flight **** on such date she has even gone to the great length of having signed by a notary(if thats how its spelt) she has stated her job and so one ....hope this helps....

I also have to carry a company credit card with me at all times my job requires its and even tho I'm on leave I will still have to do some work...which is not stated in my letter i didn't think that was a hot idea...but not sure if the credit card will help my case at all but hey ill show it if i have to ....Jay will also be waiting for me at Boston which is where I fly into ...so if asked about him it wont be a phone call they can go and talk to him face to face....

Ill let you guys know how it goes once I'm there....but if anyone can think of anything else I should take them pls feel free to do so....

and after saying all that i am still quiet nervous of the whole thing ...but if its the only way in ...I'm going in feet first....

  6. Hi and welcome to VJ.

I'm also new here to, and after reading your post I have to say it brought a smile to my face, I know long distance is hard what I always do when when the going get rough is read thru some past emails this helps me to remember why I'm with him, what it is our relationship is built on and why I love him so much ........ it also makes me laugh when i read them as we say the silliest of things to each other when writting......

Anyway keep your chin up as the British would say its all worth it in the long run ....

  9. I guess its time to say Hi to everyone, joined about two hours ago and have been reading thru posts ever since....wow so glad i came acros you guys in the last two hrs i've learnt so much....

Well I'm Britsh and my boyfriend is American.... we meet thru secondlife .... some 9 months ago. I went out to vist him in April and I've just booked my ticket to go again at the end of May for just under 3 months, he has asked me to marry him ( you just know when its right) and we will be getting engaged while im out there is time....then I guess all the stress starts.....

I have looked over the forums and cant really see where to ask this question so I'm gonna asked it here...sorry if its the wrong place to ask....

Is there a limit on how many times you go out on the VWP and how long you leave between vists....

he can't really come to the Uk at the moment as he has very young children that live with him so it's easier for me to vist him .... and I have hoilday to use up to

I have to admitt I'm a bit worried about going back out this time as 1: its only going to be 8 weeks since I visted last and 2: they grilled me something horrid when I just went for two weeks last time I felt like a criminal.

I have all my papers in order letter from work and my contract of employment my rent book, bills, I even have my child tax credits and so on showing I have a son ...who by the way is going of to uni this october plus I have CRB ( criminal record buere) checks to take with me showing I am a volunteer youth worker, not sure if that will help my case to show links back home.

and if anyone can think of anything eles I could take with me this would be helpfull to...

Sorry have I babbled on here or what...can't you tell I'm a little stresssed about all this ...
