    My husband and I told her that the SSN office told us that they will not change my last name until I receive my GC.but it went on more questioning.She asked also why we dont have joint bank account.Still my husband and I told her that SSN in my married last name should be change first,for us to have joint account .

    That Social Security office told you wrong. You dont have to wait to get your green card to change your card from your maiden name to your married name. All you need is your certified marriage certificate. My wife has her SSN card in her maiden name and we changed it to her married name ( she now has both), and we dont have EAD or AOS yet. Try another SSA office or go back to that one and ask for a supervisor.

    Do we need to ask help for our congressman regarding my Adjustment of Status,because I have never heard an update to them.We tried calling the USCIS numbers but cannot speak to live person.

    Thank you , I tried other SSN office, but they told us that we should need the GC for changing my last name.I dont know what is wrong.

    On my Aos interview the Filipina officer, I think she descriminate her co filipinas, I noticed it in her gestures, tone and holistically on how she perceived K1 visa holder.

    My AOS interview was last Aug 5, 2008, and it did not went well as i expected.I think that the Filipina immigration officer was acting different.I dont know if it is her personality or just doing her job.

    She questioned me about being on K1 visa, she asked more proof and evidence .

    She asked me why I am still using my maiden name in my SSN.My husband and I told her that the SSN office told us that they will not change my last name until I receive my GC.but it went on more questioning.She asked also why we dont have joint bank account.Still my husband and I told her that SSN in my married last name should be change first,for us to have joint account .

    I am working as RN(1 full time in hosp. and 2 part time in Nursing facility), and in my paycheck it is still in my maiden name,

    but in my RN license ,certificate in some trainings it is on my married name.I took my driving test, but the officer told me that even I passed the driving test they will not release my driving license because they need my GC.

    I dont know what to do,I am worried why my GC is still pending.

    need some advice on what to do.

    My friend is in Cebu, philippines. She is a single mother.Never been married, and has a 2 year old daughter.

    her daughter is not with her(daughter stays with his biological father)

    My friend meet a wonderful man and decided to marry her.

    They file the K1 fiancee visa petition this June and no NOA yet.

    In the 1-129 f petition it said to list all the fiancee children and put the name of her daughter with the last name of her biological father last name

    The biological father dont want to give the baby to my friend,

    the question is this,

    1.Is it ok not to join the daughter during the interview because the biological father really dont want to give the baby

    2.My friend daughter name is listed on the 1-129F petition, is there any problem that my friend may encounter if she will not bring her daughter during the interview?

    I received the result of my California NCLEX_RN exam and I PASSED..yehey.

    yes, she can apply for cgfns and NCLEX_RN,please tell her to gather all the reuirements for the exam, and once the board found her eligible to take the test, she will be given the ATT (admission to take the test).

    I am asking in behalf of my friend.

    He will be going to the Philippines this June, and will be staying for 10 days.

    I read in the Usembassy site regarding the requirements of marrying a US citizen in the Philippines.

    His question is this,

    1. HOW many days does the US embassy in manila release the legal capacity to marry/

    2.How many waiting days the marriage license be relese?

    I would like to know,if what are the requirements of marrying in the Philippines.

    My friend fiance here in Los Angeles, is asking me, if what documents should he bring when he visit the Philippines early week of June.

    He plans to have a civil wedding in Manila, do he need to register and notify the US embassy in manila about his plans of marrying his fiancee.

    Hi good day to all,

    I would like to ask about N565 , Application for a new naturalization certificate.

    My family migrate here in the US last year, and they received their green card early this year except to my 16 year old sister.

    At the point of Entry the immigration officer told my 16 year old sister that she is not required to have her biometrics because she is a minor.

    Last Feb 8, my sister received a letter from texas service center telling her to report and do the biometrics.and the application given to her is N565, Application for a new naturalization certificate.

    My question is this,

    Appplication for a new naturalization certificate means that she is on her way to naturalization and not for legal permanent residence?

    Hope to give me some insights to this.

    Need Transcripts of College Grades From Phillipine University

    Hello All,

    My wife arrived in the US from the Philippines in 2005 on a K3 visa. One of the things she forgot to bring was a transcript of her grades/classes from her college in the Philippines. She now has a need for the transcript as she would like to go back to college in the US. Has anyone gotten a transcript of their grades from a Phil college while living in the US? We understand that this can be a challenge to do and might require a trip back to the college in the Philippines. Also my wife graduated in the late 80's so the records may be old. Have tried calling the college but all phone numbers tried have not worked.

    I arrived here in US last year,and i also forgot to bring my school credentials, because it takes months to process.Right now I am asking the help of my friends to follow up my completion form.My advice is if your wife has a family or friends in PI, maybe they can help to gather the school documents.Where in the Philippines, did your wife graduated from college?What school?try to search the school in the internet if they have a site.

    I am in california.

    My 1-797 C notice of Action was in

    USCIS

    I need your advice where should i mail my application because I am confused

    If what is the correct service center to file my application.
