Anyone hear of when the Embassy might open? I know we are approaching December so they will be closed Dec to mid January....was hoping for an interview before then.

That’s awesome! To me that shows they are being proactive still and hope to keep the embassy open during these hard times. So excited for you.

That’s awful. I’m so sorry! What visa are you applying for? Have you been calling them? 

December filer here..I’m starting to go through my application stuff and trying to prepare for my next steps. My heart dropped when I noticed that I didn’t fill in the SSN section on the very first page “Information about You” section. 
 

So if I get an RFE for that should i fill it in on the first application that will eventually go with my fiancé for his interview or should I leave it blank?

Okay, thanks for that! Fingers crossed I'll receive my NOA2 any day now, so I am starting to prepare for the next steps. I know things are more fragile now than before and now that Haiti is level 4 again alongside the threat of Coronavirus I am sure they will send some of the embassy workers back to the US. Bon chans.

305 days is for a tourist visa. People have been having immigrant interviews in PAP check the Haiti sub forum. In my opinion things are going to slow down due to the US issuing a level 4 do not travel to Haiti - the embassy may have reduced staffing (I think it’s been reduced for months already) what visa are you applying for ?

I’m filing K-1...which is considered non-immigrant? Or am I wrong with that. 

Just wondering if anyone AT ALL has heard from the embassy in Haiti. Any word of interviews? I saw the wait time is 305 days but is that accurate? 

Hey! Anyone hear of interviews going at the embassy or do you think they've started their month long Holiday break?...Thinking of everyone who has filed for Haiti, such a difficult time right now. 

I am about to file with Haiti for a K-1...I am having a lot of doubts about processing and what the government might look like 6-12 months from now...can I just file in the DR or does my Fiancé have to be a citizen or have a residential address? Any ideas/advice??

I am also about to file through Haiti for my fiance...is it possible to go through the embassy in the Dominican Republic or would he have to be considered a citizen of the DR?..the country is not in a good position and I'm afraid of what it might be like 6 months from now.

Hey everyone, is anyone daring to file for K-1 fiancé visa during all the unrest in Haiti? Any success? Any difficulties? Would love any advice or suggestions.
