  1. Sorry to hear you were denied. Just move to Morocco. I would have moved to Peru if my fiancee waas denied.

Visa denied! OMG! My fiancee went for his K-1 interview today. We had everything.....phone calls every single day....500 pages of e-mails.....proof of my visit to Morocco.....pictures of me with him and with his family......I make way more than enough money......I had everything. But they denied the visa. He said they were rude and questioning him rudely and made him very nervous and then they said......no visa! Omg. I have waited so long! What now!!???!!! What can I do. I am in tears! :help:
  2. After the visa was in our hands.

In fact, my fiancee did not leave Peru until 5 months after the interview. Evrything happened so quickly (start of paperwork to visa in 4 months) that she was not ready to leave and I was not ready for her to arrive. I was moving soon to start a new job.

    A) Once you new the interview day

    B) After Interview

    C) Once Kiev had your filed

    D) Other

I was planning to buy the ticket after I get the interview date. I'm thiking of buying a tiket departing from Kiev 15 days after the interview. What do you think???

  3. No, its not a problem. Met my Peruvian wife on mylatinrose.com

I am ready to fill out the I-129F and this website I met my fiancee on is called Latin Cupid. It also has many women here in the USA as members . So would this be considered an IMBRA site as it is not matchmaking but a on line meeting site. I read some old posts but did not get the answer I was looking for.I have seen posters say that they just wrote in MET ON LINE and did not have a problem. Who knows the facts about how Latin Cupid is viewed by USCIS
  4. Sorry to hear your visa was denied. Like I told me fiance before we went to the embassy in Peru. If we get denied I am moving to Peru. So hey, if you love the guy move to Jordan and keep trying for the visa. Good luck.

OMG.... my fiance just had his interview in Jordan... things were going fine and suddenly when the CO saw our pics, she decided he was only marrying me for the visa because of our age difference! I am 15 years older, and i was not wearing my false plate in the picture, so he was only marrying me for the visa, according to her. She kept telling him "she has no teeth" He was so upset, he is not even sure if we are denied or what. What can we do? I am soooooo upset. I don't know what to do.
  5. My wonderful wife is from Peru. And while I have met Peruvian men who are good family men, there are many many men that are still happy to be pracitcing Machistas. In fact, I was quite shocked how how bad it is. I know American men can be that way too but.... wow And women are told, thats the way it is you will have to put up with it.

I have been to Peru 5 times and everytime we go my wife's girl friends are quite amazed when she tells them that I think nothing of doing housework. They are always asking me if I have friends they can meet.

  6. Is your info correct? or did you mean they got married in 2008.

From your post they have been married one month. Makes it sound like she only came to the US to get a green card not get married.

I have a friend who got here last January thru k1 visa and they got married last March 30, 2009.

The whole time shes been married to her husband they never got along and now the guy wants to divorce her.

Now, she is asking me if i have any idea if she can still get married to someone else and file a greencard so that she wont become illegal here in US.

does anyone know any solution for this?

is she going to be deported?

    any advice?

    thanks

  7. It seems to me that people from India get a free pass while people from other countries have to wait months or more than a year to bring in a spouse.

A friend of mine was married last year in India. He has lived in the US for about 3 years and does not even have a green yet.

Yet he went to India got married, walked into the embassy 3 days later and his wife got the visa to come to the US. The next week they were in the US.

I'm happy for my friend but what a joke.

  8. You lost 60 punds! That is great! You are very successful!!

I am starting a fitness program for my school and have a suggestion for you. Buy a pedometer and measure your walking. There are several good webistes about this issue. Type in 10,000 step walking programs. 10,00 steps = about 4 miles.

And do not ever just stop eating food. That can do more harm than good. Just make sure your eating sensible. Lots of fruits and veggies. And cut out all the sodas and chips. Hopefully you have already done that.

Just make sure you build up to 10,000. Don't just start doing that tomorrow.

I started my diet the day after Memorial Day last year and I have since lost 60 pounds. Ever since January 2009, it seems like I have hit a brick wall. I have tried everything. Walking two miles a day and there have even been times when I did not eat for days :( . My doctor says that I am now in my range for my height/weight but it is at the upper end and I just want to lose another 40 pounds to say I lost 100 pounds  ! I just feel like my body is fighting me tooth and nail to stay at this weight and at 30 years old, it is just not like when I was 22 in college trying to lose weight. I just feel like a failure. :(
  9. Buy the cheaper ticket which will be round trip.

And there is a very good good reason to get the round trip anyway.

Just in case you two decide not to get maried. She has her ticket home.

I booked our tickets a fw days ago and was told I needed round trip for my Fiancee because some countries supposedly won't let the foreign spouse through without a return ticket. We will be going through 3 countries on our way back. So who knew....I didn't...glad the American Airlines reservationist let me know this as she said she wasn't supposed to tell me to buy the "cheaper rond trip ticket"....lol
  10. Yesterday my wife received her I-512L, for travel. She received two identical leters. She is approved! Yeah!

But my question is that why is she appeoved only till 12/9/2009?

Does this mean we have to go thru this process (and pay more fees) every year we want to travel?

Is this normal to be approved for only one year?

Hope someone can help. Thanks Roxana and Roy

  11. My wife was a dentist in Peru. It seems that she would have to go back to school to become a dentist in the US.

But it seems as if she could take the certification test to become a dental hygentist. I talked to someone in Tallahasse about this and they said we need to send info on her schooling to be evaluated.

Has anyone else married someone who was in the dental field who is now working in the dental field in Florida or anywhere else?

    Any info would be helpful

  12. Your story sounds a lot like me and my wife. We also met by internet. She is from Peru and we got married two weeks ago. Just be honest and tell the whole story. LOTS of couples on this site met by internet. No big deal.

First of all, I apologize my bad English.

I'm new on this site. I wish to know what I have to put on the forms about how my b-f and me met us.

We 'met us' by yahoo profiles for nearly 5 years ago. We talked like pen-pals by e-mails and yahoo messenger for more than a year. I never thought that he would like me because he is older than me. He called me sometimes on weekend to my house and we spent time on the phone until 1 or 2 am!!

After one year or so that we began to talk by yahoo messenger, ha came to Colombia. Since we saw us the first time face to face I know that is the man I love. Now we want to get married. He has been several times to Colombia and met my family, and I met his cousin and the family of his cousin, in a trip (a sweet week near the beach). We take many pictures. He calls me often. We talk for messenger everyday, and for e-mails too. He is in the US and I'm in Colombia and we want to apply to the k-1 visa.

What we have to put in the forms about the question "how we met us"?

Is any problem if we say "by yahoo"?

    thanks

  13. No, it does not matter. IN fact, I bought my fiancee a round trip tix because it was much cheaper.

    Hi,

My fiancee was approved at the embassy about one and a half weeks ago. My question: should the ticket be for one way or does it still have to be round trip? I looked up round trip and one way and I cannot believe it is the same price.

    Thanks

    Good luck to all.

  14. Congrads on meeting a nice Pervian women. My bride to be from Peru arrived 3 weeks ago and everything is wonderful.

I agree with all the others that replied. You don't need a lawyer. In fact, the only people that told me I needed to get a lawyer were lawyers. Big surprise huh?

Follow the guides on VJ and you should do just fine. We got the K1 in 4 months.

FIRST TIME POSTING, MET A TERRIFIC WOMAN IN PERU, WONDER ABOUT WHETHER A TERRIFIC ATTORNEY CAN MAKE THIS PROCESS SIMPLE/BARABLE AND WHO WOULD BE RECOMMENDED.

I LIVE IN CHICAGO, MY FIANCE IS IN PERU THE EMBASSY IS IN LIMA.

HOLMES & LOLLY OUT OF LA JOLLA,CA SEEM MENTIONED ALOT.

JENSEN & HUGHES OPERATE OUT OF LIMA, PERU.

ARE ANY IMMIGRATION ATTORNEYS REALLY PREFERRED OVER OTHERS?

WHAT DO I LOOK FOR? THANX
