had my biometrics yesterday. everything was fine except that i was late for the 2pm schedule coz there were a lot of road problems along the way. plus it was too hot yesterday. so tiring day for me yesterday.

WE GOT THE FREAKIN APPOINTMENT LETTER TODAY!!!!! oh my gosh!!!! but of course it is on the day when we are out of the country, like i feared. BUT WE GOT IT!!! He's scheduled for 11/04/10 at 02:00 PM. Now I am scrambling to find an ASC that will take early walk-ins. any ideas any one?

darling, are you guys going to south el monte service center? why don't you try to go there in advance. bring your plane tickets and show them that you will be in abroad on the day of the scheduled appt.

well, we have the same date of sending our i-751 packet. my noa1 was the next day, sept 14 since i live here in southern cali and the csc office is just here in orange county.
by the way, did you use any tracking method to track your packet sent to them? if you did, you should know the date they received it and the noa1 should be around that date.

Read your NOA carefully. You need to wait for Bio letter and you can check your status online with Application Number on it

And just a quick question, I noticed on my NOA1, the name of the petitioner is my name (the one being petitioned, too). Is this the same as yours guys? Or was this an error? Hmmmm.. coz I know this ia joint petition, by myself and my husband (US citizen). Please enlighten me. Thanks!

If your cousin did not have a valid employment authorization, he was not allowed to work here. Having a social security # and paying taxes does not mitigate the fact that he was employed without authorization. You say he has overstayed his tourist visa...under what eligibility is he adjusting status now?
Hello! He is adjusting status as spouse of a US Citizen. Their relationship is genuine.
I always suggest a person complete the forms openly and honestly - if he does not put where he was/is working then he is (in my opinion) misrepresenting his information.

Hello VJ Family! I am helping my cousin to file for his AOS. I would like to know if it is necessary to declare on his in G-325A Form that he worked in the US without any work permit for the past years.
He entered here thru a tourist visa and never gotten back home. But he was able to get an SSN since there was a family petition on him before but he over-aged it. And then, when he was working here, he was filed for taxes as well.
So, should we list his employment history here in the US for the past 5 years although he did not have a working permit? Does putting this or not in his G-325A form make a great impact?

so, did you submit one? i am organizing the paper works for my cousin. his situation is he overstayed here as a tourist visa holder.
coz we're confused on this statement that if you are adjusting as a spouse of a US citizen, you do not need to file the form.
but, if you became out of status in the US, you need to file the form and pay the penalty. this is very confusing!

I-485 Supp A is not a typical requirement. It is a special purpose form that when you read the requirements of when it is needed, you will most likely find it does not.

What is the purpose of Supplement A for Form I-485? Do we need to use this form for the AOS application of my cousin who overstayed here in the US on his tourist visa?

my cousin will be filing for AOS from a tourist visa. he married a US citizen woman and baby is on the way already.
i have read the guides here and the forms needed for the application. forms included on the application are I-130, I-485 and Supplement A for I-485. fees are: $355 for the I-130 and $1010 for the I-485 with biometrics.
my question is, should we pay another $1000 for the Supplement A for I-485? I hope not coz it's a big money! wheeeewww!!!
BUT IS SUPPLEMENT A for I-485 is really a requirement?

she will be petitioning her parents in few months. her mom is 60 yrs old (when she reach 65) and dad is 70 yrs old. what she needs to know is that if they will be qualified of medicare and social security benefits as legal permanent residents?

hi drl! go to the neareast social security office in your area and tell them that you will need to remove the conditions on your SSN card. bring your Permanent Resident Card, Marriage Cert and Passport.
