What would be your reason? If it's not so complex you can simply advise the consulate you intend to interview far as you noted on whichever visa application you applying (DS-160,DS- 260 etc) that you are a dual national.

Thank you.  the president ends preferential economic treatment for Hong Kong and it will affect the HKSAR passport holders (not sure if it will affect spouse visa though). i was also worried about if it will postpone my application if i change anything in the process.

  2. HI all, I submitted my I-130 application in April and got the NOA1.  I was wondering if I can change my passport on the application? I have 2 valid passports (Hong Kong SAR & British National Overseas).  I used the HKSAR passport when filled in the I-130. May I know if its possible to change to another passport at this stage?

    Thanks in advance!

  3. Hi everyone! I filed for I-130 online and paid via credit card on the 21 April and got a receipt notice email (with the IOE no.) right away.  I was wondering if this is the NOA1??
I used the IOE tracking no and it says the case was received.  If this is not the NOA1, what is the average wait time since everything seem to be slowed down due to covid-19?

    Thank you!

  4. Hi everyone, I (the beneficiary)am filling out the I-130 form and was wondering if I got the alien registration number since I filed a K1 application with another person about 8 years ago before.  We suspended the application and broke up after I received the NOA1 and we didn't do anything afterwards.  I received a letter from the Hong Kong consulate asking if i have abandoned my marriage plan and will consider abandoned if not received from us within sixty days.  We didn't do anything about it then.

Now, I am filing for IR1 visa with my husband and preparing the I-130 form but not sure if I got this
alien registration number?  Also, since I didn't do anything about the abandoned K1 application will it affect my IR1 visa?  If yes, what should I do please?

    Many thanks!

  5. Evidence of a Bonifide Marriage
The USCIS now requires that when filing an I-130 for a spouse that you include evidence of a bonifide marriage. They list examples of acceptable evidence as:

    1. Documentation showing joint ownership or property; or
    2. A lease showing joint tenancy of a common residence; or
    3. Documentation showing co-mingling of financial resources; or
    4. Birth certificate(s) of child(ren) born to you, the petitioner, and your spouse together; or
    5. Affidavits sworn to or affirmed by third parties having personal knowledge of the bona fides of the marital relationship (Each affidavit must contain the full name and address, date and place of birth of the person making the affidavit, his or her relationship to the petitioner of beneficiary, if any, and complete information and details explaining how the person acquired his or her knowledge of your marriage); or
    6. Any other relevant documentation to establish that thereis an ongoing marital union.

^^^^ Hi everyone, I don't have any of the above, may i know what else i can send to them?  I got photos, chat logs....thanks a lot!
