  2. Hey Guys!

i finally got my green card but with wrong middle name. Its one of the PI's thing to use the mother's maiden name, i for one didnt have a second name, so i use my moms maiden name as my middle name. On my EAD card it was all correct, it goes Marilou Perez (my dad's name) Elam ( my hubby's name). Then i got my green card just a few mins ago. it says Marilou M. Elam..then on the very bottom of the card, it Says <<Elam>>Marilou>>Maganda>>Perez>> the only wrong thing is my middle initial. which is M when its supposed to be P>>Perez. . i called USCIS right after i noticed the mistake, then the USCIS agent says seems like its all right execpt for the M. and that he adviced me to follow what name written on my passport. WHich is my maiden name>> Marilou Maganda Perez>>> what do you think guys??:help: the USCIS agent said when i send it in, it could take 6 months before i get another card. :crying::crying::crying: i would really appreciate your input. thanks!

Green card and passport names matching is a good thing. We filed an I-190 to correct a USCIS error no fault of our own and received the corrected card in about a month. Your EAD card is no longer valid now that you have permanent residency but it's a nice picture ID.

Thanks Pushbrk, when i talked to the USCIS agent he said that i will take at least 6 months, before i get the new card, it probably depends on where you file it, do you think? thanks again :D

    Hi IsPikiKay,

yeah, you are right, i would have done the same thing.but did you used your husband's name with you fill out your application? mine i used my dad's name as my middle name and my husband's as my last name, but as usual it didnt came out right.grrrr!! thank you for the reply.:D .How far are you with your AOS application if you dont mind me asking :P ?thanks again!

when i was filling out my paperworks, i still retained my mom's maiden name it might create more problems if i use my last name as my middle name. my husband and i are stressed out enough on putting the aos package together. i suppose i'll just deal with my name correction upon citizenship.

i know this doesn't help at all.. but i hope you find your answers

  5. Hey Guys!

We recieved my AOS Welcome letters(yes, two welcome letters!), last saturday.

and its got the wrong middle name on it. They had it all correct with my previous papers, on my EAD card its got the correct name on it.except for my WElcome Letters! they had my mothers maiden name as my middle name instead of my dad's name as my middle name.Im just worried that they will do the same thing with my green card.

Do you guys know whats the exact number to call to actually talk to a real person at the USCIS or National Customer Service Center? PLease Help!! :help::crying: thank you so much in advance.

    Hi Everyone!

Can anyone tell me how long it takes to get the visa after the interview is over? My fiance lives in Angeles City just 40 miles from Manila, so I'm hoping it will take no more than a week. Does anyone have an idea?

    Thanks,

    Jon

    Hi Babes!

Your medical and interview are the same dates as Marilou's! Maybe you'll see her there. You should send her a pic so she'll recognize you. Hey, the wait is almost over. I'm getting really excited now. Good luck!

  9. Wendy i am assuming there is a yemen consulate in Jordan. I am sure he can go there and ask especially if he can't travel there.

    Wendy,

I have a similar problem. I was wondering if you could tell me how you got the clearance. My fiance, who lives in the Philippines, worked in Jordan for 9 months during 2005-06. She needs to get a police clearance from Jordan, and doesn't know who to contact to get it. If you could help us, we would appreciate it very much.

    Thank you,

    Jon

  10.:dance::dance: Yeah you got it and sent it in. Yes they will stamp the visa in your passport and mail it back to you. You should receive it in about 2 weeks. I am so very happy for you as I know your journey has been a very long one. Thank you again for talking to my husband, I really appreciate it more then you will ever know. :innocent:

So when are you planning on traveling to the USA? I knwo for Hasan we will book his ticket as soon as he has the visa in his hand.

    You are almost home!!! :dance::dance::dance:

hi angie ,,,, good to hear from you ,,,, thanks for your replay ,,, ... well i plan to travel after the 19 of april cause on the 19th is my 2years anniversary so i can get 10 years green card .... good luck and keep in touch

Hi Ameel! Congratulations! You may already be in the U.S. by now, but I was wondering if you could answer a question for me. My fiance, who lives in the Philippines, has worked in Jordan in 2005-2006. She needs to get a police clearance from Jordan and doesn't know how to get it. It would be almost impossible for her to come to Jordan to get it in person. Do you know of any other way she can get one? If not, do you know anybody we can contact to find out? Thank you so much for any help you can give us.

    Jon

  11. Good answer Moody! They would know for sure.

    Jackie

    (hi!)

    Hi Jackie,

I am from the Philippines, and applying for the(Fiance Visa) K1 visa,i have read on the USCIS website that if you have worked or lived abroad for over 6 months, you have to get a Police Clrearance from that country. And since i have worked in Jordan for 9 months,i shud get one also.but i dont know how to apply for it,there is no Jordanian Embassy in the Philippines :crying::crying: .Any help :help::help: will be highly appreciated.

    thank you very much! :D

  12. Hey Everybody!

My fiance, Marilou, has been having a lot of trouble with her pc. She has called a technician that said the problem is in the internet connection. The internet service provider says it's her pc. I don't really trust either of them. Does anyone know of a really good computer technician in Angeles City? We can hardly chat anymore because she keeps getting disconnected. If anyone can refer us to a good tech., we would appreciate it very much.

    Thank you,

    Jon & Marilou
