  1. Thanks we have provided a police cleareance document. The embassy still wants us to provide a clearance document with my wife's x husband last name on it. My spouse did not change her name during that time. Why does the embassy want this alias if she never used it?

  2. Hi has anyone had to retreive a south Korean police clearance document for the US embasy.  We need to retreive a cleareance document. We went to Korean embassy but they stated they they could pull current name of spouse.  This doesn't sound right. Because she didnt change her name until we married. And she spent 12 years in abroad in  Korea

    Hi, Corey!

Yes, my fiancee and I are in exactly the same boat.  Her medical has expired and the embassy currently has her passport. And now, this will be her third time through the medical (ugh!)!

We've already been waiting over four years to be together, but we've decided we're going to have to just ride out the pandemic lockdowns until we are certain we can complete the process without her medical expiring yet again. Our concern is that we could possibly get the medical done again now (with, undoubtedly, a great deal of complication).  But then, if current travel restrictions continue, we may still not be able to bring her here to the USA before the medical expires yet again!

I'd like to hear your thoughts, though.  It sounds like you're willing to take your chances on working through the lockdown travel restrictions if you can get the medical done again?

I wish you all the best in any case!

I understand, I gonna go through with medicals even thru this period of lockdowns. The windows are so small now to get it done.  I have to try for my spouse. She deserves it  best of luck to you as well.

  4. Hi has anyone had to re take medical exam due it expiring due to Covid 19. the Us embassy in manila has my spouses passport along with a document we needed to submit.  Saint Luke's in manila said my spouse can retake medical with a valid I'd and a copy of her passport. Just like to verify this before she leaves from her province.  Traveling is a big process there.

Just found out that the 2go package we sent from Angeles to the embassy in Manila in May was not delivered until the end of June. Maybe the embassy was not open until then? It's hard to imagine things being that slow usually.

Thanks, how about retaking of the medical at Saint Luke's for my spouse.  It expired in June during the lockdown. Can she just walk in. The Us embassy has her passport. Can she use a copy of passport and a Id.

How did you find that they are not accepting from 2go? My fiance sent hers in around May, but we have not heard anything. She asked for confirmation from the embassy, but got no reply. The CEAC status date for her application just started updating the last 2 days.

Well I have been checking the phase reopening from the US. I know there are alot of couples in similar situations. Cr 1 visas should be processed.

My guess would be phase 2 at best.

The reason I asked is that they are not accepting documents from 2go carrier service.. my spouse needs to only send her passport and document. The interview was completed January.  Thanks for responding.

Where are you in the process? What process (visa) are you going through?

We are in the nvc stage. And have resubmitted last required documents last month for a Cr1 . I hope I can determine when I can travel.
