  1. Hello everyone good morning! we applied mid march, Ive to check the exact date. Biometrics was in April and have been in line for interview since April 18th. We would be going thru the Oakland Park FL office. I am guessing that my husband will get an interview before Dec. Question: his Jamaican passport expired do you think It would cause an issue if we renewed it in case he has to travel home in the meantime? We did not expect the process to go this long this time.

Just curious, dont know if it should be a concern.  I sent a G-1145 along with the N-400.  It says in their instructions you attach this form and in 24 hours after receipt of the N-400 they will either text or email you confirmation of receipt and a Receipt number with instructions how to set up checking the Status of the case

They received it on March 1, 2017, today is March 3.  I know it is early, but they say in 24 hours and have received no email or text yet.   Is this a possible red flag, maybe I forgot to send something??  I know I sent all the required documents, the correct fee, I doubled and triple checked the N-400 many times.  So I dont know if there is a possible problem

Am I just over anxious about not hearing from them after 24 hours of receipt with sending along that G-1145.

    Thanks for any response

It took a friend of mine 3 weeks to get the notice I wouldn't worry about it. My husbands citizenship package arrived on Monday to the Texas Service Center and I've not gotten a notification yet.

  3. Morning all - What other calling cards have you all used for JA? I have been using Ringyard, but it's giving all kinds of problems for me - someone said Rebtel, so I signed up for that and it's ridiculous - it will not even connect the call, and now I am in a Paypal dispute with them for a refund of the $25 I put on the account.

So, what else do you all use?

Hey Sus i prefer IDT... idtcalls.com been using that for years and u can see the call records and anytime i have an issue i call or email them and they correct it no problem.

  6. good morning yankeesgirl how are the babies

Hi good morning VJ fam. I need u right now. Youve always been there for me, I have some huge decisions to make ...again....please keep me and my family in your prayers. My mom has canger again. Lung Cancer. Non Small Cell Metastatic Adenocarcinoma. Not cureable and cant operate on the tumor. What do i do? Do i move home? She may not have but a few years left(thats Gods decision ) noone can tell u when u will no longer be on earth. I just moved from NJ to TX. Do i go back, will they even let me come back lol this places me closer to home 2.5 hours and my mom would not have to deal with the stress of selling her home in MD and moving to TX while she is sick. My dad has early onset alzheimers too so i have alot on my plate to think about as well as my lil sweet Sanaa and my husband. What do i do? All i know is i want to see her everyday, who knows when its the last. Especially, my wish is for her to spend as much time with her only grandchild who is just turning 1. I am TORN. I am praying that God tells me what direction to take. :crying:

    Coco bread recipe

    Ingredients

    coco-bread-11-medium.jpg 2 packets yeast

    1 tsp sugar

    1/4 cup warm water

    1 medium egg

    1 cup warm milk

    1 tsp salt

    3.5 cups white flour

    1/2 cup melted butter

    Preparation

coco-bread-12-medium.jpg Mix the yeast, sugar and water together.

Beat the egg and stir in to the mixture.

Stir in the milk and salt.

coco-bread-13-medium.jpg Stir in 2 cups of the flour.

coco_bread_4_medium.jpg Slowly add more flour, stop when the mixture becomes stiff.

Knead the dough until it is smooth - this should take about 10 minutes!

coco-bread-14-medium.jpg Transfer the dough to a clean bowl and some of the melted butter.

Roll the dough around the bowl until it is entirely coated in butter.

coco-bread-15-medium.jpg Cover with a damp towel for 1 hour (this will allow the mixture to rise).

    coco-bread-16-medium.jpg

coco-bread-17-medium.jpg Divide the dough in to 10 pieces and roll each piece in to a circle, about 1/2 cm thick.

coco-bread-18-medium.jpg Brush the dough with melted butter then fold in half.

    Cooking

Preheat your oven to 425 degrees.

Place folded pieces on a well greased sheet and place on the bottom rack of the oven.

    coco-bread-20-medium.jpg Bake until golden
