Moving to Seattle, much better weather than in Toronto here.....

I am thinking I don't need to write a really long interview review here, as the interview is really just an official step to give you a visa. Nothing to worry about before the interview. For my case, the interviewer was a lady and she does not interested in our dating and marriage story, instead, she said to us everything is in order TWICE. So to be just official, she asked me how long I have been in Canada and where we met. And that's it. It only took 2 minutes! Though we brought many documents, she does not care as everything is approved at NVC. Therefore, for anyone who is going to the interview, don't get worried. It is really a very easy step.

I wish to take this opportunity to thank every VJ here. The trick worked well for us.

It has been exactly 1 year being away from my hubby. But we did get through it. I am moving to home end of April. Really excited.

I talked to operator today and found out that our interview date is March 20!!!

Now I am going to make a medical examination and schedule for ML trip. My husband and I will take one week off that week and drive to ML from Toronto. Would be an exciting trip......

I listened to voice message Sunday tonight once I saw Bearmirus exciting post here! My case is also forwarded to ML now. Not sure when is the interview date, must be around Bearmirus interview date since we complete cases on the same day.

Will post the interview date tomorrow once I called NVC.

I see some other people completed case in Dec, so all of them should get interview in March now. Finally ML is catching up...

Seems Feb interviews are scheduled up. Our case didn't get a chance to take a slot in Feb. Have to wait another month for interview....

Does this means MTL slows down again now? I would still be no worry if they could assign an interview in March, but hopefully not until April...........

Have you called NVC bearmirus? What's the scoop this month, have they said they are finished scheduling or?

I got exactly same message as bearmirus got at 6.30pm today. I think I will give it a try again on Friday see if they could schedule March interview. Trailmix got interview info in Dec for Feb one, so probably we could get interview info this month for March interview..... Seems lots people are on the same boat waiting for March interview. Yep, that's fine Whitesnail. I wasn't born in Canada, either, and my GP just wrote a summary on his prescription pad too. That's what I took to the Panel Physician and they accepted it. Just make sure you get a copy of the DS-3025 vaccination worksheet from them. You need it for the AOS process.

Our case was just completed at NVC too. Looks like NVC's starting to get their stuff together now!

Sooooo, what happens after the case is completed at NVC? My understanding is that 1) there's a bit of a waiting game until the embassy receives and looks over the file, 2) We go in for a medical exam 3) show up at the interview - am I correct? Is there any other paper work or "adminy" stuff to take care of from this point on?

P.S. Much luv to James for his shortcuts... really made a big difference for us in getting our case completed as soon as it did!

Yes, now we will have to wait and be patient. Hopefully Montreal catches up a bit and set up interview soon.

I am not a Canadian, so I don't have the Canada issued paperwork for Vaccination. I went to my family doctor and had all the required shots except chickenpot. He only gave me a prescription paper saying that I had what shot on which day. Is this kind of paper enough to show penal doctor as a Vaccination proof? Family Doctor said this paper should be fine.

I would like to know other VJs here who are not born in Canada, what type of paper you use for this proof?

i called yesterday they said nothing yet. they told me once i have an interview the automated response will let me know i have one and than if i wanted to know exactly what date they speak to an operator....

I called today and she told me to call back on January 11th haha

NVC operator told me to only call in the third week of each month to check the interview schedule. She said the interview is always scheduled in the second week of each month. For Jan, the interviews have been scheduled already. Maybe they just don't want us to call everyday.....

I just called NVC again this evening, just want to confirm "administrative process" that I got yesterday. However, magically, the operator said my case is completed!!!! Unbelievable. Does this mean yesterday the operator made a mistake on my case status, or the process only takes a day?

Not sure if I have to double check the completion tomorrow. Too good to be true.

This probably means that we will have to wait another 2-4 months to end the case at NVC. And another 6-7 months wait in Montreal to have the final interview. All the time is a really a problem for us. Our plans are totally impacted by the time variation.

Unfortunately no, nothing to do but wait and call NVC. On a happier note, it looks like Montreal is picking up the pace a bit in terms of how soon they are doing interviews - one of the people who was scheduled for an interview this week - 71 days between completion at NVC and interview - hang in there.

Thank you Trailmix. That's a comfort. Hopefully everyone wait at Montreal would be picked up interview at this speed. In that case, I would hope a brighter perspective for me to wait, maybe another half year.....

Administrative Process mainly deals with document verification (authenticity) and most importantly background checks. You may have indicated your visits and stays in the US and some other countries, and it's just logical for them to do that. They may have also found the same name with a character record from their database that committed a crime that made that person ineligible to travel the US. In other words, same name but not the same person going through the legal immigration process.

As long as you have not committed any crimes in and out of Canada and all your documents prove your true identity, then there is nothing to worry about.

Just call NVC automated line, it should say case complete and wait up to 8 weeks for further instructions.

The case is not completed. Administrative process is not a process for every applicant.

Only after the process is done, the case can be done.......

and btw, when I check the instructuctions on Nov28, nothing changed online. And now it suddently changes. Anyone know when the rule changed? My 230 was generated on Nov 12. Would it follow this rule?

We just submitted DS230 via Jame's short cut on Nov 29 and NVC has entered the form into their system. The form was generated on Nov 12.

When we submitted the doc, this message hasn't shown up yet. So we didn't attach a copy of the original documents. Do we have to send in with the copy again? I am really worried.

I don't want to receive RFE because I didn't attache a copy! .....

Anyone has an idea of this?

I guess we are just really bad luck recently. Hope things are getting better from now on.

My hubby sent out 864 and IV bill. But he told me he didn't save the tracking receipt. So we don't know 864 was really arrived yet. Just believe that the mail should not get lost.

It seems we have to mail in 864 again since it has been 20 days..... I have no idea what happened to the mails. We just trust US mailing system too much. We wasted at least 2 weeks....

I have a question about form 864. We sent it in NVC middle of Oct. However, agent said they still don't receive it today.

So it is usual that NVC won't put 864 into system when they receive it, or they should already put it in?

I don't know why it takes me so long. Just worry that the form was got lost.

We seem to have lost IV bill in Oct as well because the first IV bill didnt enter system for 20 days and we decided to mail a second one, and then it is entered.

I have no idea why my mail is missing. Hopefully 864 wont be missing......

No, We did received IV fee bill from NVC and sent out the payment.

The fee was sent out as a cashier check. It hasn't be cashed yet. And my hubbie even didn't save the receipt for the USPS mail. This is the mistake that we don't have the tracking number of the mail though we are sure it should arrived a long time ago.

Do we have to send in another fee bill again? It is really a pain

I guess u did a big misake.. sending them fees when they havent asked.. cant change the fact that you have sent the feees.. you can see my time line.. I was F****g delayed for 37 days..... IT still hurts... If my feee was encashed in normal time I would have been with my life partner for NEW YEAR

We had IV bill and 864 sent in to NVC early and middle of Oct. The auto msg always said IV bill was generated in Sep and wait to be mailed. The msg never update!! Normally it should at say IV bill received, right?

Hubbie called in to ask and a person said they havent received them yet. He put a flag there on my case to check later. Is it normal to wait couple of weeks for NVC to update? I am waiting for DS230 and it takes for ever.....

Anyone has similiar situation before? I am so worried....... The files were sent by express post, they shouldn't get lost.
