from what i know he needs to send i 130 first and wait for an approval and then once its approved he can send the rest of the forms correct?

There is no downside to applying for an EAD (using an I-765) and AP (using an I-131). It's better to have them and not need them than to need them and not have them.

Once he has an EAD he can obtain a Social Security number with it.

I kinda thought might as well fill oout the form since its already being paid for on the I-485

So getting some forms ready for a friend of mine who needs to do his AOS. Long story short, he is undocumented now since his tourist visa expired.

He is now married to a US citizen and will be filing for AOS. My question is I-765 or I-131 needed? I know its optional but i wonder if I-765 should be filed so atleast while he's waiting he can work correct? If i-765 is approved can he obtain a social security number? I rather not file i-131 since traveling out of the states is out of the question.

So for now i know he has a few forms to start filling out.

I-485

I-693

G-325A

I-864

Am I missing any other forms? From what I know, by filling out all those forms he can adjust his status from undocumented to permanent Resisdent if approved?

Let me know if I'm missing anything. . .

from reading your post, you will need to re-do your I-864 form. Seems like the form you submitted contained one or more sections with missing or incorrect information. Make sure you have this completed before you have your interview date set. Good luck!

So interview went well for my dad and mom. They both got approved yesterday and their oath taking will take place next friday.

So parents have biometrics scheduled for Oct 20 (dad) and Oct 24(mom). My question is can they just go at the same time I Oct 20 for the biometrics? I doubt one will get turned down because it's a different day? Has anyone been in this situation?

Hello. Am starting this thread so all Sept filers can track their N-400 journey towards naturalization.

Both my parents will be applying for their N-400 this week

Can someone confirm if I have included all the necessary documents in the application packet?

Completed, Signed and Dated N-400 forms.
Copy of both sides of their Green Cards.
2 Identical Color Photographs each with their name and A-number written on the back.
Check for $680 + $680 and A-number written on the back of each check.(is the A number necessary on the back of the check?)
Two Form G-1145 for e-notification of application acceptance.

Any other documents that need to be part of the application packet ?

Also, will they have joint interview or separate interview ?

father was jailed for about a week 20years ago for DUI. Now there's questions about being in jail and so forth i believe its from question 23-29.

He was convicted of driving under the influence and he completed his community service and all the other requirements from the judge. So pretty much the case is closed since he completed all the necessary requirements for him to have his case closed. My question is does he have to put down that he was arrested and convicted of DUI on the form? or is all the answer there just put down no. For me, i think he still needs to document that he was arrested and convicted of the dui.

let me know your thoughts or what is the right thing to put down?

not sure where to start so here's the dilemma.

I have a friend(permanent resident) who is married to a non resident immigrant. Pretty much my friends spouse overstayed here visa and now she's out of status.

Question is can my friend petition her even though he is not a US citizen?if yes, what forms are needed for the petition.

how long is the process for this? Dont know where to start, any help would be appreciated.

Completed my oath taking last Thurs. and I can proudly say that I'm a U.S. citizen! Oath taking was a breeze and very organize. My group was 817 such a small group compare to the other ones that way above 1000+. This forum has been great through all the information that I obtain from various people.
