It shouldn't be a problem. I myself applied 2 days before the 90-day mark and did not have any problems.
Good luck!

Congrats Sam75! Hope you get your oath letter soon!
Got my passport today, only one week after applying. That was fast!

Had the oath ceremony this morning.
Came in at 8AM. The guests went in the room. After 10/15 minutes, they called the new citizens. We had to register and give away our appointment letter along with our Green Card. The ceremony started around 9:20. Every one of the 129 naturalized citizens had to stand up when their country (from a total of 30 countries) was called. We took the oath. They showed a clip of G Bush welcoming us to our new country and telling us that from now on, we are "as Americans as the most direct descendants of the Founding Fathers". They then had a clip of the song "Proud to be an American". We then went to get our certificate. And that was it! We were done by 10AM.
I went to the SS office, applied for my US passport and registered to vote. What a full day!
My journey is over. I still don't realize it!

Congrats Zyggy! Almost done!
Stef&Kel: I hope that your interview letter comes in the mail soon!
Oath Ceremony tomorrow. I can't wait!!
-
Good luck Zyggy! Let us know how it went.

One last thing (not that it matters): all the interviewers were wearing "very appropriate" attire. All the male officers had a suit and tie. And among the applicants, I would say that the majority were also dressed rather conservatively.
-
I forgot to add:
- I was asked to write the following sentence: "The President lives in the White House."
- I was asked to read the following sentence: "The White House is in Washington D.C."

Back with some good news! Not only did I pass my interview, but I will be a citizen in less than 10 days!!
Below is an account of my interview experience in Chicago DO:
- My appointment was at 9:45. We arrived 30 minutes early. They called me at 11:30.
- It was packed, so I would advise sitting next to the doors in the area you have been assigned to. When the officers call for people, they don't always raise their voice. My husband was not allowed to go in with me. I saw some people going in with translators.
- I got sworn in. The officer asked me 6 questions that were printed out on a piece of paper
- How many Senators are there in Congress?
- For how long do we elect each member of the House of Representatives?
- Who becomes President if the President dies?
- In what year was the Constitution written?
- What are the three branches of our Governement?
- What is the Bill of Rights?
- He then asked to see my Green Card. Asked me the questions on the N-400 form. Asked to see my marriage certificate and my spouse's birth certificate (I gave him my spouse's passport.)
- I had to print my name on the form as well as on the pictures.
- He told me he was "recommending" me for approval and told me to go sit back in the room. The interview portion lasted approximately 20 minutes.
- After waiting for about 20 minutes, a woman called my name and handed me the letter of appointment for my oath ceremony. I heard that they didn't have any spots left for this Friday, so I'm taking the oath on Friday of next week.
Yippee!!

Congrats Pascal! Am I the next one for the interview?
-
Congrats Katulututu!! I wish Chicago DO had oath on the same day!
MGM: I'm so excited for you!! I'll keep you posted on my experience.
-
Yay! Does it mean that you had your oath on the same day?
Congrats!!
-
Congrats pry2008! And good luck nfytoknow!
My interview is coming up in just a few weeks and I should make an effort to study harder.

OMG!!!!!! I got my interview letter in the mail today. I have to get ready for August 6th. Hurray!!!
congratulations! That is very exciting (and encouraging for the rest of us!)

Thanks! I must admit I'm surprised at how fast that went. The NOA date on the interview letter says "May 30th", 2 days after my biometrics.
I can't complain.

Hello everyone!
I haven't been on the forum for a long time. I have updated my timeline below.
Glad to see that some are already receiving their interview letters.
-
congratulations!!
Quick question for the ones that got approved do you guys see that when you enter yor case number and check it online, i know you received emails but i was wondering if you see the approval when you only enter your case number online and hit search
Yes.. the status online has changed as well.
Same here. When I check my status online, it indicates that the card production has been ordered.
Good luck to those who are still waiting!
-
Glad to hear that things are moving forward for some and hoping that the journey will be a smooth one for the newcomers.
-
Awesome!
Congratulations!
-
Almost there! Congrats!
-
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that instead of the birth certificate of the US spouse, you can have just a photocopy of his/her passport.
-
Thanks for sharing your experience. Enjoy your newfound freedom!!
-
Yayyyyyy! Got approved today as well. So, so happy!!!
-
Thanks Pascal for the information about the "missing evidence" with the NOA.
K: I know how the wait can be frustrating (I'm still awaiting approval on my I-751 that was sent a year ago!!). Hang in there!
-
My check was cashed yesterday.
Now waiting for NOA.
