No and no. Medicals need to be done in the country you interview.

I would advise you bring strong proof to show why you would return to Brazil if you plan to come for a visit, precisely because the CBP officers might suspect you will try stay and adjust status after entry.

Agree with the others - that would be fraud. You cannot use a tourist visa as a means to immigrate.

Thank you all for your replies. I wasn't aware that this was a fraud, thank you so much for your help.

You can go by F2A. Yours F22 is subcategory of F2A. No need to scratch head on that. The NVC’s welcome letter should have mentioned that.

You can definitely try visiting the US but your entry depends on the CBP, may face trouble or may not face anything.

What about an adjustment of status, do you think that would be possible?

I know that if it isn`t valid, I need to go back to Brazil to have my interview in Rio`s consulate. But can I make all the doctor procedures/ the check-ups in the US either way?

F22 is part of family preference, second category (F2A specifically).

Yes you can visit with a valid visa. Every entry is subject to CBP inspection, as always. You cannot stay.

That said, there is a DOS worldwide level  4 advisory right now...it is advised not to travel in general due to the pandemic.

  3. I am from Brazil and I am a daughter of a green card holder who got in through my brother (an American citizen), I already have my NVC number, paid all the fees and delivered the DS-260 form.  Related to that, I have two questions.

How can I identify my case? Is it F22, F2A or neither?

Can I enter the US while I wait for them to schedule my interview in the consulate? I already have a tourist visa, will I have any issues trying to get in?
