So you are planning to qualify based on co-sponsor? Does your father have a job in the U.S. or is he retired?
Also, if you are planning to live with your father, please draft a legal lease (rent could be $0 or symbolic $1), but as long as the lease is a valid, binding lease as per the sate tenancy laws, CO will accept it.
Good luck!
Yes he is still working, and yes qualifying based on co sponsor. good idea about the lease agreement , i will tell him
thanks

I am a US and Canadian citizen, I sponsored my husband for canada and the US-he got his canadian PR last Nov and I have been here with him since (in Toronto.) We finally got our interview date for March 8 in Montreal. We have one child (2 yrs old), I am a teacher but am just doing supply teaching, my father who we will be living with when we move is an Household member who I added since i dont make enough income.
I just want to make sure we are prepared for the interview and am a bit nervous as only my husband can go in and not me and my son.
Is there anything else we need to bring in or upload to CEAC before the interview? I am still waiting for my 2019 tax transcripts, i have received my fathers and uploaded those. I have also uploaded my sons birth cert, he was born in the US. Do i still need to upload whats app messages and pictures.
We have a joint account here in Canada, do we need to show proof of that? or paystubs? Any other tips/advice would be much appreciated! Thank you

I hope we all get our interview letters soon too...been very hard

Okay. Just keep in mind that the consulate in Montreal is known to be strict on the domicile requirements, so your plan to live there could be impacted by that.
what are the domice requirements? we also have a child together,
so when do we notify them of the move?

im a citizen of both countires and applied to both, and we got canada first
we filed in January 25th 2019--so is that our priority date?

My husband just got his canadian spousal visa and will be moving there in a few weeks. We also just recieved notice that our i130 is approved. our goal is to live here in America, so we want to be together in canada until he gets his visa for the US (im assuming a few months). once hes in canada who do we have to notify about his change of address? will it make the process longer? does anyone know how long it will take until hes issued a visa? how do we check the priority date? also if someone can direct me to a checklist of documents which i can start to prepare for NVC, that will be much appreciated. thank you so much

Thanks so much...i made an account and it says that im now in the citizen category..just hope that its okat that ive applied to sponsor him from canada and usa..We just want to be together asap anywhere, canada or US.

Thanks for the reply...It’s at California service center.. now that I’m a citizen shouldn’t it be in another category

I am a canadian citizen, who moved to the US when i was 14,my dad got a job here and he was on a work visa, by the time he got his green card i was over 21 so i was under a new category. By that time i was in college, and had gone abroad to teach. I came back to Canada in 2012 and went back to school and worked for 2 yrs and by then my visa for the US was approved-so i moved back here to my parents in 2014 when I became a perm resident. And just this past summer I became a US citizen...In 2016 I got married in London to a Pakistani national who was in the UK on a work visa. I was back and forth b/w london and Ny as i had a job and i filed for my spouse to come to the US..well i got denied last year 2018 because we filed based on our religious ceremony and not the civil..so i re filed this past Jan 2019, and I also applied to sponsor him in canada too. He had to go back to pakistan from the UK last year as they wouldnt re new his work visa, and since i was pregnant i had to go home. so now, we have an 11 month old baby which he has hardly seen. so i applied for him in both countries as we just want to be together asap.
im starting to worry as i haven't heard back from USCIS on whether they approved my i130, and some people in the Jan i 130 group have started to get approvals...Im also worried as I contacted someone from congress to inquire about my case and he asked to expedite it and, they refused as i dont have any need for it according to them. Ive made an account and it says it was last updated sept 4 when i called, and that someone will get back to me within 30 Days..sorry for this long post--just wondering if anyone has any insight on this and if they've applied to sponsor for 2 countries?

ya i did, and it says that on sept 4th you called and inquired about why our case is outisde of normal processing times, then it gave the ticket number. when i called last week they said someone will contact me within 30 days.
I applied as a permanent resident and became a citizen this summer July 2019, and its in california service center-where they dont process spouse of us citizen, so am wondering what the next steps will be. Also, had contacted the congresswoman and she inquired about my case and they told me that they cant expedite it. so when i check my case status it says ' we are reviewing your expedite request..'but i already got the answer from the congresswoman that they dont accept the request..last my case was updated was aug 7th..
am nervous as i applied in 2016 and they denied me as i applied using my religious ceremony certificate, as i had my civil one a year after, so this time we re applied using my civil certificate so am hoping they approve it, we also had a baby. hope they take it all into account.
fingers crossed for us all...

You will keep your WAC receipt number. They will adjudicate your case on CSC most likely.
Create an account https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do add your Case Number and see your Case History.
You should have something like this.
Thanks so much..just created the account, and saw that they did upgrade me to a citizen. Although i didnt receive anything in the mail..at-least its documented. any idea of what the next steps could be?

thanks so much..will look at that thread!

How do I make sure? I thought when I Called then I’d get something in the mail with a new file number. As California doesn’t process spouse of us citizen , I’m still a WAC

I’m So
glad I found this thread... I was a LPR and became a citizen this past summer July 2019. I called USCIS to notify them about the change and they said they will put it in the system. Case is still pending . I filed for my spouse in January 2019,Hopefully it gets approved soon .

Sorry I just found this site and am learning how to use these forums

how do i do that

I filed for my spouse in Jan 2019, as a permanent resident. I became a US citizen this past July 2019, and notified USCIS by phone. They said they would update it in their systems. I also spoke to a congressman about my case and he said he would contact USCIS for me, but that didn't help much as they said my case couldn't be expedited. Whenever Id check my status online it says we received your expedited request on Aug 6 and we are reviewing it...' i finally called USCIS today and asked for an update, she checked and said that my case is out of normal processing times as Im a citizen and that someone will contact me within 30 days.
Also, my case was at California service center, and ive never seen an option for US citizen sponsoring spouse there. Shouldn't my case be transferred to another center? Any idea how much longer it will take now for my husband to get here? He is in Pakistan but has lived in the UK for 9 years..also I had a baby 10 months ago and haven't been working. Im living with my parents, who work full time. My father will do the affidavit of support and be the co sponsor as he has a good job..would that be okay? or has USCIS changed the rules? Please advise!! thank you

How come they go through additional processing? My husband is a canadian PR, and im a dual citizen- i came here last NOV when he got his pR to spend time with him and so he could see his son. My parents have a business which hell be working at when he arrives in the USA My father is the co sponsor. I am a teacher and am on the substitute list at a few schools there, i have a letter from the school district stating that.
Any other suggestions? Im so nervous I dont want him to go into AP
