My husband and I went through a very long and arduous immigration process. After our K1 visa was denied, I moved to Brazil to be with him so we could figured what we were going to do. During that time, we got married and I received permanent residence status in Brazil. We applied for the IR-1 Visa which was also denied and then finally the I-601 Waiver which was approved! After 1,307 consecutive days in Brazil we were able to move home to the US together. He became a naturalized citizen in 2018 and we are so grateful that is all worked out in the end.
