  2. Looks like you have more than enough documentation to show you have a legitimate marriage, with joint ownership, etc. The only other thing I can think of is a copy of your joint rental or mortgage documents.

Good luck for a speedy approval.

Thanks! I have one more question... Do I make the check out to "USCIS Texas Service Center" or "Immigration and Naturalization Service"?

    Hello!

First of all, good luck and a quick approval! The check will be payable to U.S.Department of Homeland Security

Along with the I-751 instructions there is this note: " Please spell out U.S.Department of Homeland Security, do not use initials as USDHS or DHS."

Please take a look at the complete instructions regarding the form I-751, here does follow the link.

  3. Hi Everybody !

    Well not a good start.

I was happy and relieved yesterday when I dropped my application file to TSC, via Express Mail. The post office said I could track it on line and it should get to them today.

Well I just checked the tracking and ............. it says Not delivered - notice was left ..........

at 10.53am (today). another attempted delivery will be made or we will keep the file for 5 days and return it to you !

Well I checked again and again the address .........

    the USCIS site says

    USCIS TEXAS SERVICE CENTER

    PO BOX 850965

    Mesquite, TX 75185-0965

I did put attention of I-751 Petition (as recommended by VJ in the guide) after the address

Anybody ever had the same problem ????????

Why would The Center not take the file ........................... I should have put

Attention I-751 Petition to remove conditions of Status ?

I cannot believe it. I just start dealing with USCIS and already a problem...

When I filed for AOS they had lost half of my file !

Well if anybody has any idea please share it with me, I am a little nervous about my letter being lost or returned to me without not knowing the reason........

Just one thought ... I did not check the waiver for signature and realise I sent it to a PO BOX of course, could that be a problem ???

Thank you for your answers and wish me luck !!!!!!!!!!!

I forgot during these 2 years the stress you can have just filing with them again ?:crying:

    Hello Chanchan,

    Hello!

First of all, thank you very much for this very helpful website! Here I have been found all suport and knowledge to submit our petition. I wish the best luck to everybody!

My 90 days window to submit the I-751 started on May,2007 and I would send my aplication on that month, but due to some personal issues, I was able to send the package on june 26th,2007(by USPS certified mail).

The USPS had delivered very fast. On the next day, June 27th, the post-office left a notice at USCIS TSC, since they could not deliver the mail. Today morning(June 28th), I saw at USPS website and it was delivered. So, if anyone has the same experience of post-office " notice left" at TSC don' t panic, because your package will be delivered,ok?!

Well, here just start our journey. I would like to thanks also to Tweety and James for the help with our doubts

Thanks for reading this post. Best luck to all. I will update my posts as soon as TSC does bring news for us ( good, we hope so )

how is it going for you?

    Hello Littlenloud,

Everything is going fine, thank you. I wish the best to you as well. I had the biometric on the last weekend. Now I' ve just got back to the " waiting status " again

In respect of " tracking" your case online,as soon as you create an account on the USCIS website you can check for the online updates on your case.

In order to do this, you complete the registration form, create a profile and add a case to your portifolio. The Case Number is present on your NOA.

Here does follow the link to you. Since you have got your NOA, just open an account and add your NOA number, upon " add a case to your portifolio. Good Luck !

  9. Dear Folks!

I have a doubt in respect a document I will submit with the I-751 petition.... We will send a copy of the residential agreement letter in my husband' s name dated on August 2001( this document is the kind of one which has automatic renovation, unless the tenant or landlord would like to quit with the contract). I came to US in 2005, so we will be sending an Amendment to residential letter as well. My doubt is should we notarize the amendment or not? Thanks in advance for your reply.

    Regards,

    Coolmind.

  10. Hello Coolmind and welcome to VJ!

As for your list of evidence, the following things came to mind when reading your list:

    Regarding point....

    8) don't send each months statement. Make a selection covering the whole period, e.g. every 3 to 4 months. I don't know how others have done this, but I only provided 3 statements covering the whole 2 years.

    9) if this is one of these "pre-approved" credit card offers, don't send it, what does it proof?

10)-13) these seem all to be about your health insurance - if you find other, better evidence and your package becomes too bulky, you might want to consider cutting down in this section

    14) what is this? what will it proof?

    17) what about the current 2006 tax return? don't forget to include it as well.

Anyway, things you might consider including as well are:

    - copy of both your and your spouse's driver's license, showing same address

    - car title (if jointly owned), or title to anything else you have joint ownership in

    - car insurance (if stating both names)

    - any other insurance you might have, e.g. life insurance stating each other as beneficiary

    - mobile phone bill showing shared plan and calls to each other

    - pictures showing you and your spouse together on the above stated trip, may-be also some other pictures from holidays and family events (e.g. birthdays, christmas, thanksgiving, easter)

This is just what I came up with for now. I'm sure others will jump in and share their thoughts as well.

I wish you all the best.

    Tanja

    Dear Tanja, (F)

Thank you very much for your reply. I wish you and all people here the best too ! :) In respect of the points...

    8) I was thinking of sending the bank statements covering the period since we have opened the account until now, because I was reflecting like this ... the account will be 16 months old in May 2007, its a new account, so I will send the more statements I can to don' t give them the false impression that we have opened the bank account very near to file the petition. For this reason we have included all statements.

    9) The pre-aproved credit card letter addressed to me by the same bank we have a joint account is just one more proof that we share the same address.

10 up tp 12) I do agree with you these items do correspond to the joint health insurance we have here. Hmm girl, I have to find more diferent kind of evidences... It will be more hours of work out... Soon I will loose some weight :yes:

    13) This medical ID card is not related to the joint health insurance we have in US. This card was issued on abroad, when I got sick the last time we traveled to see my husbands' family. This a kind of patient card this is just an additional proof that I have been in the vacations with my husband. Hmm, weak proof  ?

    14) People who apply for a first time driver license, after taking the written test and aproved will receive the " instruction permit" or " learner' s permit".This is a kind of "driver license", which will expire on your second birthday and allows you to drive only if on the front seat there is a someone who has a valid driver license for at least one year. ;) You can consider this document a kind of driver license, with some restriction. Thanks for remind me I will include my husband's driver license as well

    17) The 2006 tax return my husband is still preparing it. Do you think that we send the petition without it for now and if they ask we will send it later to them. Or do you think that it will be better just to send the petiton as soon as we have the 2006 tax return?

Concerning the things you have listed that I might include (thanks a lot for your help) :) the suitable or us would be pictures. Do you think that a petition with pictures looks like diferent? I mean more positive?

Dear Tanja, thank you very much for your kindness and advice. Like I said before, it is a a big comfort to have you guys over here. Until next time! Take care and one more time, thank you

  11. Hello Folks!

First of all its a relief to have a place like this where you can come and understand the immigration process in a better way ,with the human touch of those who have been here passing through the same situation. Good Luck to everybody! Thanks for this very helpful website! :)

Iam a May I-751 filer, since my 90 days window had opened on May 10th, 2007. I have everything prepared ( at least I think so ;) ) in order to submit the petition to TSC. I don' t know how to explain what I feel about it. I have joined the most I can to submit this thing and I always feel I can find more documents. Is this anxiety a normal part of the whole process? On the bottom, I suppose it is... ;) Probably the relief will come when I get the Noa, it is not? :)

Please, could you take a look at our evidences? We still do not have kids. We appreciate all comments! Thanks in advance guys!
