Are you asking if it will stop you being selected or if you will be denied if selected?  Anyway, no to both. If there’s not adequate space to list a middle name it’s not your fault.

Yes, do i still have a chance to be selected? or my application will be automatically denied because the name on the form is not identical to the name on the passport?
And if I'm selected, will I face any problems further when completing the procedures?

Should I do take any step? like emailing someone (I actually don't know who exactly :"D ) or should I wait it I'm selected and say this in my interview?

To what extend is this issue has an effect on the whole process?

  2. Hello everyone!

I'm very confused because I missed one of my middle names in the lottery form.
My full name is very long, and the middle name box has limited characters so I couldn't write it full.

For example: my name is (John Micheal William Benjamin William Alexander)

But The form was as follow:

    First Name: John
    Middle Name: Micheal William Benjamin
    Last Name: Alexander

So there is a missing William (before Alexander)

I couldn't write it due to letters limitation.

My question is: Is my application will be denied? or it still has a chance? I mean should I forget about it or it's okay and I might be chosen?

Sorry for the long post but I wanted to make it clear.

    Stay safe everybody!

    Thanks

There is no restriction for this because of  already having a green card.

Figure out how to get back to the US within a year of your exit.

So I'll not face a problem if I reentered before November 2020 right?

From what I’ve read and understood, it is no longer possible for a green card holder to enter and exit the US in order to keep their status updated. Immigration can now see when you enter and exit and can cancel out your green card if you are not living and working the US past 12 months. There is a form you can file that gives you permission to be outside of the US For a certain period of time and not lose your green card but it has to be filed while you’re still in the US. Are you no longer living in the US?

I'm outside the US now but my husband is living there..can he fill that form for me on my behave or I should fill it in person?

  4. Hello everyone,

    I hope everyone is fine.

    I've a confusing inquiry,

I got my green card last year and I entered the state on November 2019 and I think I have to reenter the states in order to keep my green card activated -as far as I can understand-, but as you know and due to the current circumstances, international travel is banned between countries and even if it will be opened, I don't think traveling in the current situation is a safe option specially that I'm in self isolation since the beginning of the pandemic.
What do you recommend in my case? Is there is any procedures that I should take in order not to loss my green card?

    Thank you very much.

    Stay safe.

Oh I thought it was your month who was getting the visa and they had her name wrong. Long as your name is what's on the visa package and matches your passport you are fine.

No my name is correct the only problem is in my mother's name, while applying I wrote it right, but when I got the visa envelop I found that they wrote it mistakenly.

so that's fine and won't make me any problems right? should I follow any procedures when arriving in the USA to correct her name or that's just fine?

Thank you so much and so sorry for bothering :)

the 01 is added to all case number types or 02. Your case# is the same.

like if it was a parent and a child parent would have 01 and child same case# and 02. When you pay for immigration fee the 01 is not part of it.

Name on envelope you have your visa it will be fine unless it's a totally different name. When she is at POE she can correct it. If you are that worried about it contact the embassy and ask them what to do about the misspelled name.

Thank you sooo much this was very helpful.

Concerning the name, my mother's name is Anaam, but it is written on the envelope Angham. Is that a problem? will they deport me from the airport because of this mistake? I contacted the embassy and they asked me to email the immigrant department but they haven't replied, and my travelling date is in week.

  7. Good morning,
I have received my immigrate visa (green card) but I noticed that the case number that’s written in it is different from the case number written on the yellow visa envelope.
There is (01) at the end of the number written on my visa, so I was asking if that’s normal or it’s a mistake that will cause further problems, if so, what should I do to fix it?
Also, I provided an wrote my mother’s name correctly while applying but  it’s wrong written on the envelope. (Typo mistake)
I was wondering if there is any steps that I should take, knowing that my traveling date is very soon so I want to pay the immigration visa fees, and I don’t know which case number to write in the form..the one on the envelope or the one in my visa.

Waiting forward to hearing from you.

    Thank you.

  9. Hello,

I got my IR1 immigrant visa and they issued that the deadline of entering the country in 8-12-2019, however, I can't travel in this period of time.

I'm wondering what are the consequences of getting this visa and not entering the country, I heard that I'll be blocked for 4 or 5 years from reapplying, is that true? and what is the best thing I can do in my case? should I contact them or what should I do?

    Thanks so much.
