Hello everyone I am here an USA and I filed I-130 marriage based patition.i need police certificate from uae and India how can I apply online. I  used to work UAE four years ago and for completing D-260 I  need police certificate. Please help me.

India would be fairly easy.  Just have the person to log on to passportindia.gov.in and schedule an appointment and request for immigration police certificate.   These days, the process is extremely efficient and ask them to carry couple of more ID proof, beside Passport and they'd do the needful and shall provide you the police certificate, in 45 minutes or so.

    Good luck.

I am not an expert, but it seems that the elaborated message was during the AP, when CO requested for an additional document etc.  Once you've submitted the document, and they've started to work on your case, the elaborated message is gone and as per the new wording changed in March sometime, now the AP is shown as Refused.

Don't loose the hope and I am sure, they're working on your case and you'd hear from them soon, with good news.  Keep the hope alive and try reaching out to embassy to fetch the right version.

    Good luck!

With so many state department consular employees repatriating to the US, I would doubt very much if routine visa processing is occurring.

    Appreciate the response.

currently US embassy in India is closed to all public and no application processing is done as of now. This includes No interviews. No 221g processing. No drop box processing. No documents collections and no pickup.

    Thanks AP,   Appreciate the info.

  4. Does anyone has any idea, if respective consulates are working on cases under 221g, where documents are being submitted.   I see no change, post I submitted the documents requested in 221g.  The status date changed twice, right after the documents were submitted on continuously for 2 days in February, however, since then, there's no status change and now under the uncertain times ahead - Covid-19, I am not sure, if the consulate are et all working on these cases or operations are completely shut.

I did notice, some people updated that USCIS is accepting applications and sending out NOA1, hence curious to know, if consulate is working on already submitted 221g cases.   Anyone saw any date change or status change during this period, do share their experience.

  5. Don't worry...lot of people are reporting this today.  It could be the glitch with website.  I also had the similar reaction today, when I noticed that my status changed to Refused from Administrative Processing, however when I saw others also talking about it, I am hopeful that either its the glitch or they're changing it to call it Refused, until they Issue or Deny your visa.   Keep calm and I am sure, you'd hear the long awaited good news, soon.

  6. I am very confused and dishearten, as I just noticed the status being changed to "Refused".  Just to give you the background, I had the interview in India for K1 Visa, wherein I was issued the 221g requesting for relation proof, including but not limited to a) Evidence of ongoing communication with petitioner, b) photographs, c) evidence of travel, d) evidence of any shared finances, e) evidence of wedding plans, f) list of planned guest list and g) notarised statement from both describing and detailing how we met each other.

Interview was on 24th January 2020

Document Submitted on 7th February 2020 (status stated to show that last updated on 10th Feb 2020)

Again the Case Last Updated changed on 11th February 2020

Every since we both started to check the status on daily basis and it was last updated remained on 11 February 2020 and showing as "Administrative Processing".   However today in late evening the status changed from "Administrative Processing to Refused", but the case last updated remained as 11th February 2020 with following note

A U.S. consular officer has adjudicated and refused your visa application. Please follow any instructions provided by the consular officer. If you were informed by the consular officer that your case was refused for administrative processing, your case will remain refused while undergoing such processing. You will receive another adjudication once such processing is complete. Please be advised that the processing time varies and that you will be contacted if additional information is needed. For more information, please visit TRAVEL.STATE.GOV or the website for the Embassy or Consulate at which you made your visa application.

For more information, please visit TRAVEL.STATE.GOV.

I am not sure, if the visa application post our submission of document has been Refused, however, we have not received any email etc, or is it the change, due to some officer has now stated to work on our case and as the above lines state - your case will remain refused while undergoing such processing.

Should we be worried on the outcome being changed to "Refused" with same case last updated date.   If yes, what are our option left with us.   We are legitimate couple and submitted all documents, as requested by the embassy, and have no idea as to why this outcome.   Please throw some light to help us to understand the matter, better.

    Thanks in advance.
  7. Its heart breaking that after waiting for almost a year (9-10 months), you appear for an interview and CO without looking at your documents, hands you over the 221g white slip, requesting for additional relationship proof, including but not limited to notarised statement from both, as to how we met, wedding reservation, guest list, etc etc.   We submitted the requested documents on 7th February and the status showing, case last updated on: 11 Feb and there's no further update on the matter.

When browsing thru other fellow members, journey, you notice they updating their stories, however, post their initial updates, no follow-up or updates for others to draw experience from their journey on the matter.   Its so frustrating that once you hit 221g, you're at the mercy of the consulate in question and have no way to trace it or find out about the action being taken.

I hope some would help by shedding some light with their personal experience.

    Consulate:  Mumbai, India

    Interview Date:  Jan 24th 2020

    Document Submitted:  February 7th 2020

Case last updated on:  February 11th 2020

  8. Could be number of reasons.  One of the most prominent one is, where embassy would allow you a visa for travel or business in your respective country, however allowing/ approving the entry purely depends on, if the immigration officer is satisfied with your response i.e. for how long would you stay?, where would you say? who's sponsoring the trip? and if they feel suspicious about the particular case, they would pull you aside and later go for deeper interrogation/ questioning and if they still feel that one is not suppose to enter United States, in such case as a protocol, they're advised to put the person on cuff and escort them to airlines, to go back to place, from where they boarded the plane, to enter Stateside.

    Hope this helps.
