I just got my 10 yrs. permanent resident card March this year and Ive been here for almost 3 years this July. I just want to ask if When can I file my N-400 after I recieved my permanent resident card?? When I first got my temporary resident card that was March 2008 and I got my 10 yrs. this March 2010,do I need to wait March 2011 to file my citizenship???Please help.....

I have to agree, you never know. I too have seen A/R last a few days and as long as 8 years. I have been in A/R for over 5 months now at NVC but the A/Rs at the Embassy usually go a little quicker than the ones at NVC. Statisically 35% of the people in A/R have been there over 12 months.

Thank you for all of you.......The embassy keep my passport and i paid the delbros too.... I have all the documents needed for my interview,but quit wondering why they didn't ask my CENOMAR which is when they sent me the packet 4 it is included there.......Wow i keep on praying that this week i will have good news from the embassy.....its been my 4th week this wednesday. Please include me in ur prayer....We keep calling embassy but they always tell us that we have to wait coz they are reviewing.....We keep on praying......GOD IS SO GOOD.........God bless and Good day to all of you!!!!

Hello to all my family here....Im still on AR right now its been 18 days after my interview....We called embassy 4 times and the DOS but only info we got from them is to wait 4-6 weeks....Im hoping that on 4th week my visa is on my hands....hehehe.....Please pray for me.....and i need some pieces of advice from you...Thank you and GOD BLESS...........

hello WOF family....

im still waiting for my visa to be deliver in our house and I don't know what will I feel if its already on my hands... I put on AR for 11 days from now and I keep on praying that soon i will receive my visa... We called the embassy and they told me that we will wait for 4-6 weeks and we cant even get any good info or anything that i will submit for me not to put on AR...My fiance wrote a letter to their congressman asking for a help for us to know whats the main reason for my visa issuance..Please pray for me and hope all those people who are also on AR...Thanks and GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ive done with my interview june 6 and happy to recieve the pink slip and pay delbros. The thing is the lady told me that my papers need further review...I asked the lady what will be the case but she told me that only the consular can answer my questions... I reviewed all the files i submitted but nothing will expire soon and my birth certificate is all correct...even my NSO. The thing that is on my mind why they put us on AR because when my fiance arrived to visit we went to the embassy to get legal capacity coz we know that, legal capacity is needed for our application for K1 visa. And added more is that on my pre-screening they dont ask for my Cenomar. Im quiet worried about delaying my visa issuance coz on our mistake due to over excitement my fiance bought me ticket flight on june 26....We called embassy on there call center but we didnt get any info....(nothing at all) and we called embassy again and talked to Lorraine and she told my fiance that my papers is still on the embassy for review...I dont know why they dont work on it right away since all they have to do is to check my marriage status....Please help me and tell me what to do for us to get our visa so soon....I keep on praying.....I miss my sweetie so much....and no reason for them not to send my visa....HOPE AND PRAY for visa delivery.....Please pray for us....GOD BLESS....

Please help me with this matter....I have interviewed June 6 and i heared that the consular told its okay and wait for my name to be called for the releasing....

Heres my questions guys... While waiting for my name to be called at the releasing place they me give me my other documents like pictures...and they give me the pink slip and told me to pay delbros for my visa delivery but aside from that the girl told me and give me a papers stating that they will need to have further review regarding my papers..i Im quiet confusing why i need the other paper stating that they need to have further review since there is no other requirement that should be check for me to submit on that paper. Please help me...

What will i do?

You need to fill out your forms online especially the DS-156. It will not generate a barcode if you will just download it.

Hi alex and Lyn,

It is perfectly alright to ve nervous and excited about the interview and it is healthy because the excitement creates the boost of adrenalin you need to be alert and keep yout mind racing.

I was so prepared for all the documents and questions during my interview, I had prepared for all the possible questions, but then on the interview, there was a candid question that just came across with a bang....and that was the first question so it oculd make or break the interview results.

But my thoughts to you is to keep cool, be honest, and yes, be sincere in your answers to show that you have a valid relationship and will make every effort to abide by the rules of the country.

The consular officer can read your reactions and replies and you just need to be yourself.

If you want some tips, post me a message and I will mentor you through.

I am already here in the USA, happily married and adjusting to life as a fulltime housewife. But I plan to work as soon as I get the documentation for EAD or AOS. SO dont be afraid to adjust and move your cheese (read the book WHo Moved My Cheese) and you will not be as nervous but be excited about the changes. It is not the interview alone that you need to plan for...it is the married life in the USA.

I leave Wednesday morning for Vancouver. My Interview is Thursday!!

I am more nervous about getting everything I need in time. My Husband is FexEding me all the papers, that should arrive tomorrow and I need to phone the Doctor tomorrow and make sure I will have my Medical Results back.

I was able to get in very fast for my Interview!! I was scared I would feel too rushed and wanted a later date, but Mel said to take it!!

You need to fill the DS-156 out on-line. Go here - http://usembassy.state.gov/manila/wwwhivk1.html

The other forms can be downloaded and filled in with Adobe.

That may be true today but not always. As reflected here:

You can see that because of workload sharing some service centers share the same or near same processing timelines. THis in the past has however changed many times (case load sharing) so this may affect things down the road. Keeping them seperate keeps us able to detect that.
