That’s a good sign it means they are working on ur case as well because mine was last updated on March 18th let me know once it’s updated again.

I hope so.  Also praying that the Islamabad embassy doesn't end up closing because of the virus.  That will only delay the process.  Will let you know if there's an update.  You do the same please.  Thanks.

Yes they will ask her the case number if she will request for the status of visa because they have to send an email to immigration department to let your wife know on email her status. Most important thing they will ask her is passport number.

Okay, good.  They kept my wife's passport after the interview but I'm sure she as a copy of the main page which has the passport number.

Thanks a lot for this. Pretty sure I came across the number on the website but never considered using it based on what I had read.

Where u able to get hold of them

I will ask my wife in Pak to try on Monday.  I hope she will be able to get a hold of someone.  Did they ask for the case number?  Anything else?

  4. Hello,

Nearly 3 weeks after my wife's interview at the Islamabad embassy, during which she was asked to reupload at CEAC her Birth Certificate that includes "Place of Birth", we got an email from the embassy stating that the original paper copy of that Birth Certificate now also needs to be sent to them via a courier, preferably American Express.  My wife lives in a small town where that courier isn't available.  I would like to know whether it is okay to use another courier such as TCS?  Also, do we need to send anything else along with the requested document?  She will obviously write the case number on the envelope.  Thanks in advance for any help.

In your situation, I don't think they will make a recommendation either.  I've only see them do that when the LAST tax return doesn't qualify.  Even then, it's a "you might want to..." kind of recommendation.  It matters a lot how far over the requirement your income is and what kind of job you have.  It's a judgment call, considering the totality of circumstances.

Thanks for your thoughts, pushbrk.  Much appreciated.

  6. Hello everyone,

A few quick questions regarding I-864EZ and its income requirements.  I'm the lone petitioner/sponsor for my spouse in Pakistan.  While I meet the income requirements for the current year (2019) and the past year (2018), I am short for the years 2017 and 2016.  What should I do? Will I be okay?  If I do it alone, will the NVC let me know regarding a co-sponsor before the case is sent to the embassy in Pakistan?

    Thanks for any help.
