  1. What is the complaint? Will it result in some sort of arrest? I think if you have a criminal record they can technically deny you entry but it will be hard to do if you are a green card holder

Sorry I am not much help!

You see, when my husband kicked me out, he wanted to take everything from me, my money, ID, my passport and my green card. I am afraid he will do everything he can to prevent me from going to the US like telling the US authority that I used him, etc.

I do not have a criminal record.

  2. My wife received the blue paper at her interview in China recently.

The VO said she needs us to have a co-sponsor in the US since I have been in China for 7 years and didn't pay any tax.

Well, our tax return has more than 40000usd declared every year for the last 3 years with money in the bank in the US, I told this info to another VO in China in citizen meeting, she said: there must be misunderstanding, our income does not require the co-sponsor.

Which one should we listen to?

The thing is: I can't find any co-sponsor in the US. My mom is on social security and is in cancer stage 4, terminal. Her income wouldn't qualify her to sponsor us and there are no others will provide 3 year income tax (it's private) for us, we are on our own.

    Any suggestions?

My wife needs to hand in the material next week.

Ps. we have been married for almost3 years.

  3. I had my 2 year green card for 1 year now. And I haven't been back to the US for more than 1 year. Does that mean my green card is invalid?

If so, should I reapply for IR1? What's the procedure? Do I need to abaondon my residence status first? Will that damage my reapplication? Thanks

  4. I will need to remove my conditional residency next Apr. By then,my USC husband and I have been married for 3 years.

But since we were met 5 years ago, we were residing in China most of the time. Would it be a problem since most of our evidences of being together are overseas?

We do have joint rental contact with landlord, monthly untiltity bill with both of names, same address in the US. Joint tax return filling. Joint Bank account. Take the same flight to travel with seats next to each other, stay at the same hotel when we travel. Lots of pictures being together, being with family, taking trips. Mails from his mother and uncles to both of us.

    Would these be enough evidence?

How long will it take to approve and how long will I receive my 10 year green card?

  5. My husband and I have been married for 2 years. We are thinking about applying for IR1 for me. He is US citizen.

We have been residing in China for the last 5 years. He was holding the work visa until July 2006. After that he is holding business visa allow his stay but no requirment for residence card.

We would like to apply IR1 in Canton consulate in China. But the thing is: their website explicitly require USC work or study in China with RESIDENCE CARD can Direct apply in Canton consulate.

Is that mean we have to apply in the US? How can we do that since we don't reside there?

We have the lease contact with the landlord in Canton showing we are residing in Canton. Will the consulate consider this as the residence proof? They didn't say in their website which I assume NO.

How long will it take to receive IR1 visa if we apply in the US?

    Thank you very much
