it happened to me. On my interview in Kiev Ukraine I was asked to provide additional documents. My Visa was sent to me within 2 months.

Thanks. I have another question. I asked if her ex would cause problems to bring her 11 yr old daughter here if things work out. she said that when the crisis in ukraine started, She spoke to him in case she needed to go to relatives in russia or friends in italy. And he gave no problem. now she has her daughter attached ?? to her passport. This is new to me. If she comes on fiance visa will that be good or does she need an official document signed by the ex for her daughter to come here. does her daughter need a separate passport also ?

she will need to get the paper that will be verified by notary where he says that he is OK for his daughter to go abroad. she will need a travel passport as well. My friend's mom just came from Kharkiv to JFK through SVO and had no problem. you do not need a visa if you just transfer in SVO.

I am from kharkiv. You can use aerofrlot and fly from jfk to moscow and the Kharkiv from there, layover is not bad price is ok as well

In regards presents, do not tell them the true value, take all price tags off and say that you only have personal stuff and may be $50.00 worth presents

otherwise you will have to pay 40% duty fee. It happened for me once. I paid $140.00 for saying to have presents for $300

I want to file for my parents to come to live in the USA.

My mother is married to my stepfather since 1981 ( I was 2 y.o.)

do I have to fill 2 separate forms, and pay 2 fees of $420 or to fill just one for my mom and add my stepfather as her family member?

When I had my Interview. I was asked to bring all monthly bank statements from USA ( I have lived there for 5 years, Then returned to Ukraine and my husband filed for me).

It did not take them too long after the additional evidence was received.

I am a naturalized citizen for over 2 years now. I got my GC through the marrige.

prior to that my case was in immigration court. After the order to removal my husband and I got married and I left to Ukraine. I got my GC there. and moved back to USA no issues at that time. NOw, Every time I travel outside of the USA and coming back in the POE airport I am being sent to the homeland security ofice in the JFK my passport stays with the oficer, they make notes on computer do not ask or tell anything, give my passport back ad I go home.

Any idia how long it will e going on for and what are they typing thee if noone is talking to me?

How did the interview go???

hi, thank you for asking.

the interview part was good, 6 questions answered correct, read, wrote a sentence....

than, I was asked some questions and for one of the questions I hade to say that I was in immigration court befor, for my political asylum case ( the last court denial letter I got back in OCt 2006) that was the time I left the States to Ukraine, my spouse filed for me to come to the USA with CRI visa,

so now the officer tald me that i have 2 different cases and it will take them 2-3 months to " Iron things out" and I will be contacted by mail

so, we are waiting

that is my story

Any thoughts???
