  1. I am a United States citizen. On August 25, 2017, I petitioned for my fiancé a Lebanese national to come to the United States as my fiancé (K-1). On November 28, 2017 my fiancé’s petition was approved and forwarded to the US Consulate in Beirut for processing. My fiancé was scheduled for a routine fiancé interview at the consulate on March 15, 2018. At the end of the interview, my fiancé was asked to complete and submit additional documents to finish the processing of his visa. We sent the documents and we were hoping to get his visa as soon ad possible so he can join me in the United States. The consul has not issued my fiancé a visa yet. As noted in the consulate notice, the administrative processing of my fiancé’s visa might take an additional 60 days from the date of his interview, and the last update was in January 24, 2019. NO ONE at the consulate is willing to explain to us why it is taking more than a year after the interview to issue the visa. We have made numerous phone calls to the consulate, inquired through E mails and contacted the legal section of the State Department. No one is willing to explain why it is taking so long to process the visa. So it's almost 2 years and my fiance still waiting. Is anyone facing the same problem? Or have any idea about this?
