I had my interview on Aug 12 at 8:25 AM. I was called in for interview at exactly 8:25 (to my surprise) and was out of building by 8:45. Got approval notification @ 11 AM.
My wife's interview was 2 days later at 9:30 and she had to wait like only 5 minutes before she was called in. She got her approval 5 minutes after the interview was over. We were still in the building.
Atlanta is definitely getting much better now

My interview was in July. Overall, be ready for a lot of waiting due to a lot of people, well at least for my situation. They even had to ask family members to go wait on a different floor to accommodate the number of interviewees. My Interview time was 11:55am but i did not get to talk to the IO until around 1:00pm. Then i waited in another section for another IO to take the test. Whole process was done around 3:00pm. I got the approval text as soon as I exit the building. As long as you are all prepared with the test, you should be fine. Good luck!
Thanks for sharing your experience, Ralph. My interview is in morning @ 8:25 so hoping there won't be that much of rush.

Anybody cared to share their experience at Atlanta field office. My interview is next week, just wanted to see what's been everybody else's experience at Atlanta field office.

Similar situation. I was "somehow" registered for selective service when I was on non-immigrant visa at age 24 (most likely because of applying for driving license). I became permanent resident at 34. I've my citizenship interview on Monday. I am just going to take selective service confirmation letter which I got from their website and explain the situation to IO and hoping it won't be an issue.
If anybody was or know of someone in similar situation and had interview, can you please share your experience?

Honestly, if i was the interviewer i would say that should be fine but we don't know what the interviewer would think or do.
That sums it up nicely. I think best thing to do is always answer remember complete answer instead of relaying on IO to interpret if you answered it completely or not.

Yes if that was the answer. They are not really looking for exact word for word from the book but it would be nice to know them that way.
I understand we don't have to respond word by word but in this case "Emancipation Proclamation" seems link meaningful information. Do we need to mentioned that?

Was going through all questions on civic test and saw that there are some answers with extra information in brackets. E.g. for question "What was one important thing that Abraham Lincoln did?" Answer is "freed the slaves (Emancipation Proclamation)". Do we have to respond whole thing or just replying "freed the slaves" is enough. Please clarify.

That’s how I found out as well when reading all these posts and decided to check on their website. I think i will give them the print out right away on the interview and will explain that I wasn’t even aware I was registered. Better tell them cuz I read people get RFE after interview to explain why while you going through final approval. You don’t want delaying your process for this piece of paper.
Thanks for recommendation. Will try that. When is your interview? Please do share your experience after your interview. Mine is on Aug 12.

So out of curiosity I just checked if I was registered for selective service and turns out I was back in 2003. I don't remember ever registering for it. I also put "NO" on all questions related to selective service on my all immigration forms. I guess I'll just take printout of page with selective service number during interview and if they mention anything about selective service I'll tell them I found the record online. It's so strange.
Filing online vs paper? Which is better?
