I had my Green Card Hearing on the 2/12/08. I did not have enough paper evidence proving that we were married the immigration lady said that we will get the green as soon as we send the information. They recieved the information on 2/26/08. It is coming up almost 60 days from that date. Should I wait and see or try to contact USCIS to find out what is going on. Also is there a hold up in the processing.

I had my green card hearing all went well, we just didnt have enough evidence to prove that we are married and living together. They said that we can get a affidavit from her mother saying that we are living with her and an affidavit from a neighbor stating that they see us and know of our relationship.

My question is does these affidavits need to be notarized.

Thank you all sooo much, im still in kind of a daze about it, been checking uscis everyday several times for the last few months going crazy that i dident hear anything, and all of a sudden its gotten approved, its awesome :-)

Guys I have not been on here in a while. But a quick question when applying for my AOS it had the question have you been convicted of an offence that is not traffic related. I selected NO. When getting my AOS meeting appointment it came with a letter stating that you had to bring imformation if you had been charged with drink driving. I have gotten that information in a police report.

Will I have any issues when coming to the meeting even though I sleceted No on the application and now have this imformation. It was a simple mistake and it is not like I have not notified immigration of this before in previous visa application such as my student visa.

If anyone can shed some light it would be greatly appreciated.

I am just wanting to get the EAD ASAP. As I have been offered a High School Coaching job and that window of opportunity might end at the beginning of October.

So what time frame am I looking at getting my EAD.

Just a quick question. I received my Biometrics letter the other day. I got an appointment for Biometrics for AOS and then an appointment for Biometrics for my EAD. My question is will I receive my EAD that day? I have work lined up and want to let my employer know.

I am in the united states and I am about to file my I-130 and I-485. My question is do I need to send the original I-130 to my regional center and send the I-485 with a copy of the I-130 to Chicago. Or do I send both originals to the Chicago Service Center. The information on the I-130 says to send to the regional center.

I have looked at the guide and when it gets to Filing part of the guide it seems to be talking about the I-485

Is it advisable to send incomplete paperwork. I am applying for AOS but I want to get it in before the July 30th fee increase. It looks like I will not be able to get my Medical Exam done. Will it be advisable to send it without it tomiss that fee increase.

I entered the states and married my wife and have been living with her at her address. In filling out the form do I use that address as my current address or use my home address in my own country, even though that residence will become our place of residence.

Just inquiring about the process in having a primary and secondary people for the AOS. My wife to be will not meet the requirements and her mother will be the secondary on the AOS. I know they will both need to fill in a AOS. Is there any other supplemental forms needed for the secondary AOS.

Not having adequate income will not usually be a problem if you have a co-sponsor, according to experiences

posted on the newsgroup, as long as the co-sponsor has adequate income/assets.

Be aware that the co-sponsor must have enough income/assets for both your fiance, any fiance children that will

be immigrating, and his/her own household. However, that IF the US fiance has been on welfare or other

government benefits for a lifetime or has no plans to work actively, the consulate can still deny the visa based on

the likelihood that the foreign fiance will become a public charge. Just having a co-sponsor may not be sufficient.

An actual case has been documented wherein a fiance visa was denied because the petitioning fiance was on

government benefits and would not be working, even though the US fiance had two co-sponsors.

Now my fiance comes under this category as she is on disability payments as she has lupus and is the US Citizen. Now does this occur on all occasions and is there a work around this,ie. a lettersaying that she does not plan on being on disability payments forever.

Is it possible to leave the country while your visa is pending. I am also wondering if you have been approved for your work visa are you able to leave then?
