  1. thank you all! :)

to latos, I came here on K1 Visa (dec 2006)

I think what made my applications fast is because I didn't file EAD and AP just I-485.

    just my thoughts.

Really... now that's interesting! I guess as of July 30 we have to file for everything anyway though...

So can you still work and travel? (I think you can but just want to make sure I am understanding these things)

    hi melytha,

sorry for the late reply. after I got my greencard, i went back to my country immediately.hehe. Yeah, you can work and travel once you have your Greencard. That is why, I did not file EAD and AP anymore.Because we thought EAD and AP are good if you dont want to adjust status yet. And most of my friend who had filed AOS,EAD, and AP together they regret it, because they got thier AP and EAD just 3 to 4 weeks ahead of thier greencard.

  2. Remanda,

To bad it's the wrong answer to your question. You may not be so lucky as margalow.

FutureMrs gave you the correct answer, which is 'Maybe, often but not always'.

    Yodrak

He was asking positive question ,so I gave him postitive answer. It doesn't means Interview should be always approved, at least you will be told whether you are approved or not.

  3. Hey dear all,

I am anxious to know whether an approval decision will be made during the interview, or you will only be notified through mail later???

yes, the approval decision made during interview. during my interview I was told that I was approved and on the same day i got email from USCIS that they mailed welcoming to a new permanent resident-if you have created an account in their website. After after 3 working days i got the snail mail.

  4. hi guys, woke up this morning to this email, we are so happy :dance::dance:

goodluck to the rest of you waiting :thumbs::thumbs:

  5. Well he will be here for interview, but we don't know when the interview will be and like I said, he will be traveling all of October and not returning to the States until middle of November.

ah ok. Based on my experience I got my notice of Interview 43 days before the schedule. And I think and I hope you'll have your interview before your husband will travel.

    good luck!

  6. Who here got married in Vegas?? How long did it take for you to obtain a certified copy of your marriage cert? Does it have to be the certified copy for AOS or can it be what you get on the actual wedding day? The reason I ask is because we are due to get married on the 12th July and want to apply for AOS before the fee changes on the 30th July. Thanks.

    hello,

we got married and live here in vegas. And we got our cert copy in ten days, but we paid 20 bucks more. Just tell the wedding chapel that you want to get is soon and they will be the one to process it in the county record bureau with few bucks more extra payment.

  7. we had our interview yesterday May 23 at 11 am here in las vegas. We're such a lucky couple. Our interview went so well and we had perfect interviewer.First, he called and escorted us into his office, and asked to remain standing and made us sworn then seated.

he asked questions alternately to me and my husband. these are the ff questions he had asked to us:

Inter: Sir, did you guys get married within 90 days?

Me and Hubby: yes sir, and we gave the exact date.

Inter: how lond you've been married

Me and hubby: 3 mos and few days.

Inter: sir, pls tell me how did you meet her and

how long did you stay in your first meeting

husband : after my Iraq 12 months deployment I went and spent almost 3 mos with her and bla-bla"

Inter: oh, you're a Veteran also, and then they bla-bla about army stuff about a minute. ( 1pt lol)

    Inter: Ma'am, you're from Philippines?

    Me: yes sir

Inter: My wife is Filipina too and bla-bla( 2 pts )

Me: oh, really, thats cool and bla-bla

Inter: pls give your complete address( including condo unit number), your full name, and DOB. ( i answered all his question)

Inter: do you have kids ma'am in the Phils?NO sir

Inter: do you have kids together?

    me and hubby: not yet

Inter: Is this the first Marriage for both of you?

    me and hubby: yes sir

    Inter:maam you're born In _____ Negros Occidental?

    Me: yes sir

Inter: asked me the YES OR NO questions. and the last Question is Are you a member of NPA?

Me: NO sir.( i was a bit shock why he knows about the NPA in Negros)

Inter: My wife is from Bacolod Negros Occ ( 3 pts lol) ( that is why he knows about NPA)

Husband: oh yeah, she has 2 siblings living there.

    Then we bla-bla about the places there. He told us how great his vacation in Dumaguete and how he loves the place. After the talking, he asked us any papers that name our name together;

we gave him, our credit card paperworks, joint savings and checking accounts, health insurance card. I gave him also our chat transcript ( we chat someitmes when my husband at work and im at home) he accepted it. I handed him also our phone bill and statement with complete details. We brought four folders of all our papers with half inch thick each only one was touched. He didn't even ask our Marriage certificate (original)

Ok ma'am you're APPROVED! In two weeks you will get your conditional green card. I said " thank you so much". then he explained when and how to file to remove condition. And he said 3 years from now you can apply to be a US Citizen. He gave us some hints to avoid getting an interview for my removal of condition, such as, we should put our name together in any assets and liabilities and submit it as many as we can. when we have kid we should send the birth cert also.

We were so comfortable during our interview because we seems we were connected to the IO in many levels. He was very kind and helpful to us. Our Interview lasted only less than ten minutes. Before we left he asked us if we have question and i asked him if he stamped my passport. He said he dont need to because I'll be getting my greencard in two weeks. Then he escorted us back to the lobby and shaked our hands. The same day I got email of Welcoming To A New Permanent Resident.

to those who are still waiting their interview, just be ready all your papers and you'll be fine.

  8. hi jeh!

thank you so much for sharing your interview experience! despite the fact that you're very busy, you were able to spent time to write it and it's very articulated. I really appreciate it! It's such a big help for me! And I know it helps others too.

We did not photocopy everything we sent. Do we still need to submit the form i-485 and I-864? did you submit another set of them? About the I-693, I submitted the sealed envelope already, but I do have photocopy them and the original ds form from st. lukes.

My husband is american, so i have no worry for his proof of citizenship. hehe. I only applied for GC no EAD and AP. My place in PI is in the South- Surigao City. I'll pm you so we can bla-bla sometime.

Once again thank you so much!

    Good Bless!

  9. Using the convenient physician locator, I was able to find a single local provider here in my community. Unfortunately, when I contacted his office, I was advised that "the doctor only provides full physicals" and they refused to provide an I-693A. I couldn't believe the response and asked for an explanation. I was told that the doctor places his signature on the form and will only do so when he has personally completed the entire physical (for the full fee, of course!). Well, Plan B now requires us to make an 90-mile round trip to the next nearest doctor...

    hi,

i just want to share my experienced. When I had my td shot and SUPPLEMENTAL FORM TO 1-693 done the doctor explained to me the difference between SUPPLEMENTAL FORM TO I-693 AND I-693A.

SUPPLEMENTAL FORM TO 1-693= is the transfer of record from US department of state DS 2053 ( Vaccination Documantation Worksheet from St. Lukes ) to this form. (AOS applicant's Documentation Immunization)

I-693A= is a required whole MEDICAL EXAMS.

    hope this helps!
